Crime Story is a 1993 crime/action film directed by Kirk Wong and starring Jackie Chan as a Hong Kong police inspector who must rescue a kidnapped business tycoon from a criminal gang led by a fellow detective (Kent Cheng). Loosely based on the events surrounding the real-life kidnapping of Teddy Wang, the film is notable for featuring one of Chan's few "serious" performances.
The following weapons are featured in the film Crime Story:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub Nose
The Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub Nose revolver is the standard sidearm for all of members of the Hong Kong Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID), including Inspector Eddie Chan (Jackie Chan) and Detective Hung (Kent Cheng).
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers are drawn by Taiwanese police officers as they attempt to apprehend crime boss Simon Ting (Wan Fat) in Taipei.
Norinco Type 54
Norinco Type 54 pistols are used by various thugs throughout the movie. A Chinese officer also holds a Type 54 while searching the kidnappers' boat.
Colt Government Model
A Colt Government Model pistol is seen when the Ting's henchmen are preparing for an eminent police raid.
Browning Hi-Power
Browning Hi-Power pistols are used by members of the robbery gang that Chan confronts in the beginning of the film, and later by one of Hung's henchmen.
Taurus PT92
A robber dual-wields the Taurus PT92 during the introductory shootout. Later, Eddie Chan takes a stainless Taurus PT92AFS from one of the kidnappers and uses it while chasing Detective Hung and his henchman in the Kowloon Walled City.
Beretta 92FS Inox
In some scenes, the Taurus PT92 becomes a Beretta 92FS Inox, most noticeably when Inspector Chan lays the pistol on the ground.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
Taiwanese police officers use Uzi submachine guns while raiding Simon Ting's hideout. Inspector Chan takes an Uzi from a fallen officer and fires it at Ting's thugs during a rooftop shootout.
IMI Mini-Uzi
Some of the Taiwanese police officers fire Mini-Uzi submachine guns.
IMI Micro Uzi
Other officers use Micro Uzis, most noticeably when they pull down a wall in Ting's hideout.
Rifles
AK-47
The leader of the robbery gang in the introduction uses an AK-47 rifle to cover his escape, as noted by its milled receiver and open sight. Soldiers also use non-firing AK-47 props while searching the kidnappers' boat.
Norinco Type 56
When the robber tries to flee by car, the AK-47 becomes a Norinco Type 56, distinguishable by its hooded sight.
CSF T65K2
Members of the Taiwanese "Thunder" SWAT team fire T65K2 rifles at Simon Ting's gang as they attempt to flee.
CSF T65K1
Other SWAT officers use older T65K1 rifles.
Other
Type 67 Stick Grenade
The robbers use a Type 67 stick grenade to blow up a car that Chan hides behind.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
Mk 2 hand grenades are used by the Taiwanese gangsters to hold off the police as they attempt to flee.
