Like Evil Tim said, it is not a free wiki project. Imfdb can get severely punished if there are numerous copyrighted images and material on the website. As most of the firearm images are mainly original work and photographs actual weapons from a movie armory, it seems unnecessary to replace them, except when the image is of very poor quality (the copyright problems are sometimes taken care of by MPM2008 as he usually replaces the copyrighted images if he has time). - Kenny99 20:14, 1 October 2011 (CDT)

Please do not upload images that have copyright watermarks on them.  Also, do not replace images that are different from the ones you are overwriting.  Please also take a look at the Rules, Standards, and Principles page.  --Ben41 18:36, 1 October 2011 (CDT)

File:VSS Vintorez.jpg
VSS Vintorez with PSO-1 scope - 9x39mm

I've found this on Google; it's an Airsoft VSS made from a converted AK, not a real one. Link including a picture of a real VSS left-hand side at the top. Evil Tim 20:07, 27 September 2011 (CDT)

Would you please stop replacing gun images with images which have hideous marks from the MSPaint eraser tool or which you haven't checked are actually the weapon in question? The "MG36" you uploaded was just a G36 with a C-Mag and bipod foregrip (you're not going to find a real MG36 with a modern handguard with RIS) and that XM8 Compact was blatantly stolen from World.guns.ru with Max's copyright notice scrubbed out. All your images tend to have these horrible eraser marks. Leave the background and any copyright markings as they are. Evil Tim 06:14, 29 September 2011 (CDT)
