The Last Man on Earth is a 1964 horror film directed by Ubaldo Ragona and stars Vincent Price as Dr. Robert Morgan who tries to survive after a plague turns the dead into vampire-like monsters. The film is based off of the 1954 novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. Though the story is set in the United States the movie was filmed in Italy.

The mutants that try to kill Morgan use M1903 Springfield rifles.
