Revision as of 07:56, 2 September 2011
Code of Honor 3: Desperate Measures is the 2009 sequel of Code of Honor 2: Conspiracy Island. The player joins the French Foreign Legion once again to fight a well organized group of mercenaries and gun runners. Most of the weapons seen in the game return from the prequel, usually with the same unrealistic features.
The following weapons appear in the video game Code of Honor 3: Desperate Measures:
Pistol
SIG-Sauer P226R
The SIG-Sauer P226R is the only usable handgun in the game. Holds 15 rounds. Appears as "SIG P226".
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5N
The Heckler & Koch MP5N appears as "H&K MP5N" in the game. Fires in incorrect 2-round bursts while aiming down the sights. The real MP5N does not have burst option, only safe/semi/auto.
Heckler & Koch MP5SD3
The Heckler & Koch MP5SD3 returns from the prequel with the same configuration. Fires in 3-round burst mode if the mouse is only clicked. Appears as "H&K MP5SD".
Izhmash PP-19 "Bizon"
The PP-19 "Bizon" holds 64 rounds and can be fired in 3-round burst and full-auto modes.
Calico M950
The Calico M950 can be seen on several pre-release screenshots, but this weapon didn't make it to the final version.
Assault Rifles
Colt M4A1
The M4A1 is used by some of the mercs in the game. It was clearly modeled after an airsoft weapon, noted by the white markings on the receiver. Features a reflex scope, but has no gas block. Another inaccuracy is that it appears as "M4 Colt", which refers to a 3-round burst carbine.
GIAT FAMAS G1
The FAMAS G1 appears simply as "FAMAS" in the game. Incorrectly holds 30 rounds, but is modeled with straight, 25-round mags. Fires 2-round bursts if the mouse is clicked. The EOTech Holographic sight can be changed to a high-power scope anytime during the single player campaign. Strangely, when the scope is equipped it can only be fired in semi-automatic mode.
Heckler & Koch G36C
The G36C with Holographic sight attachment appears in multiplayer part of the game. It is erroneously called "H&K G36K". Fires in 3-round burst when the mouse is only clicked, something no real rifle of the G36 family can do.
Heckler & Koch G11
The G11 also returns, but now it is a multiplayer-only weapon. Referred to as "H&K G11".
AKMSU
Possibly the first appearance of the AKMSU in a video game, although it was not intentional because it is called "AKS-74U". This is the most favored weapon of the terrorists in the game.
Shotguns
Mossberg 590
The Mossberg 590 now appears with synthetic parts, however is still called "Mossberg 500". Holds 8 shells, but has less range and damage than in CoH 2.
Franchi SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 can be seen on the back of French Foreign Legion operatives. Not usable in the game.
Machine Guns
FN M249 SPW
The M249 SPW appears in the game as "M249 MOD 2". Holds 100 rounds. Usually used by enemy mercenaries.
FN M249E2 SAW
An M249E2 SAW with a red dot scope can be seen on the cover.
Grenades
M67 Hand Grenade
The M67 hand grenade is the only usable grenade in the game. Explodes on contact like the frag grenade in F.E.A.R., granted the game uses a slightly modified engine of that game.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
The M67 grenade shows up as Mk 2 on the HUD.
