Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
Torchwood is a spin off of the popular Doctor Who series produced by the BBC. Following the adventures of Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and his team. Based in Cardiff they are a part of Torchwood, a secret agency set up by Queen Victoria in the Doctor Who Episode "Tooth and Claw". Their primary mission is to monitor a spacial rift in and around Cardiff, fighting supernatural monsters and aliens in order to protect mankind.
The following weapons were used in the television series Torchwood:
Handguns
Webley Mk. IV
Cptn Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) primary weapon in Torchwood is an Webley Mk IV in .38, Presumably chosen to fit in with the characters World War II Royal Air Force fashion sense, however this is unconfirmed. Captain John Hart (James Marsters) briefly uses it in "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang".
Beretta 92F/FS
Seen in the hands of one of the perpetrators in the Season 2 episode Meat.
FN Model 1910/1922
An alien Blowfish uses a stainless FN Model 1910 to take a family hostage in the Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. He is killed by the recently returned Jack Harkness before he can use it.
Glock 17
One of the handguns utilized by the perps in Meat is, what appears to be, a Glock 17.
Heckler & Koch USP
Seen wielded by Professor Aaron Copley (Alan Dale) in the Season 2 episode Reset. CIA Agent Rex Matheson (Mekhi Phiffer) carries a 9mm model as his sidearm.
Remington 1866 Derringer
One of the firearms that Captain John Hart (James Marsters) hands over to Torchwood in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, Season 2, is a nickel plated Remington 1866 Derringer with either ivory, or pearl grips .
Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3
The Torchwood operatives torturing Captain Harkness in Fragments utilize a Smith & Wesson New Model No.3 to find out if the rumours about him being incapable of dying are true.
Tokyo Marui HiCapa 4.3
The standard sidearm of the Torchwood agents is an airsoft TM HiCapa 4.3, this was used due to the strict firearms controls in the UK and because of reduced insurance cost during filming. Most agents HiCapas also include an underbarrel accessory, which is actually a storage device for a natural gas canister which feeds gas into the barrel to create a muzzle flash. Interestingly only three agents can be seen firing at one time, this is apparently because only three props were made for such a purpose. Presumably this was done as only three would most likely be needed in the early part of the show.
Walther P99
The personal sidearm of Johnson (Liz May Brice) is an airsoft replica of the Walther P99.
Beretta 92FS Inox
In Ghost Machine, Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) can be seen gun training with a Beretta 92FS Inox. Jack Harkness is seen unloading it when Gwen walks in.
SIG-Sauer P226
Gwen can also be seen with a SIG-Sauer P226 in Ghost Machine. A two-toned version is used by Gwen in "The New World" while defending her house during the helicopter attack.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Gwen is also seen using a Smith & Wesson Model 36 in Ghost Machine.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
Jack is briefly seen with a Smith & Wesson Model 686 when gun training with Gwen in Ghost Machine.
M1911A1
A M1911A1 is used by Huw (Rhys op Trefor) when capturing Gwen and Owen in Countrycide.
Flintlock Pistol
A soldier can be seen with a Flintlock Pistol during the Cardiff 1812 flashback in Greeks Bearing Gifts.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW
A pair of H&K MP5K-PDWs are used by Captain John Hart (James Marsters) during the Season 2 finale Exit Wounds. The folding stocks have been removed, however the PDW backplate is still present, as noted by the hinge that the stocks would normally attach to. Also present are the lugged barrels of the PDW variant, onto which the standard H&K flash-hiders have been attached.
FN P90
FN P90 submachine guns fitted with sound suppressors can be seen in Torchwood Three's armory.
Shotguns
Remington 870
In Countrycide, a Remington 870 Shotgun fitted with wooden furniture, an extended magazine tube, rifled sights, and a shell holder is used by Kieran (Calum Callaghan) before he is taken by the cannibalistic villagers. Jack later uses the it when rescuing his team mates from the cannibals.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
A hammerless 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is used by one of the cannibals named Helen Sherman (Maxine Evans) in Countrycide. In Greeks Bearing Gifts, a man planning to murder his family uses one, but is knocked out by Toshiko Sato (Naoko Mori) before he can use it.
Mossberg 500
Rhys Williams (Kai Owen) is seen with a Mossberg 500 with a sawn off stock in "New World".
Rifles
Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III*
British soldiers can be seen with Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* rifles during Jack flashback to Lahore, 1909 in Small Worlds.
Assault Rifles
Heckler & Koch G36
Seen in the hands of bad guys, UNIT operatives and British soldiers, which is odd since the real Armed Forces use the L85A2 as their main assault rifle, however it is consistent with the parent show.
L85A2
L85A2 rifles fitted with SUSAT scopes can be seen in Torchwood Three's armory.
CQB-R / Mk. 18 Mod 0
Soldiers guarding the nuclear stockpile in "Sleeper" are armed with CQB-R / Mk. 18 Mod 0 rifles fitted with EOtech sights, foregrips, and tactical flashlights. The leader alien sleeper agent (Doug Rollins) briefly uses one to kill some of the soldiers.
M4A1 Carbine
In the Children of Earth mini series, soldiers under Agent Johnson's command carry M4A1 carbines fitted with EOtech sights, RIS rails, and Surefire flashlights.
