Planet Terror is the first half of 2007's Grindhouse double bill which includes Death Proof. The horror film was directed by Robert Rodriguez, and follows a group of survivors that struggle to escape a town filled with inhabitants infected with a deadly virus. Planet Terror was released on DVD separately with additional scenes added and featured a mock trailer for a revenge film called Machete, which was subsequently expanded into a full theatrical film released in 2010.
The following weapons were used in the film Planet Terror:
A Single Action Army is used by Earl McGraw (Michael Parks). It is amazingly seen firing seven shots when he uses it against the infected Dr. Block (Josh Brolin). Director Robert Rodriguez notes on the DVD commentary that he purposely added the seventh shot in the sound mix.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Dr. Block (Marley Shelton) tells her son Tony Block (Rebel Rodriguez) to arm himself with a Smith & Wesson Model 36 that's stored in her glove box.
A Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB is used by two police officers when the infected attack the police station.
Glock 17
One of Abby's men is seen with a Glock 17 when Romy's balls are removed.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
Deputy Tolo (Tom Savini) carries a Mossberg 500 in the hospital when Wray is first picked up. Hot Female Deputy (Emmy Robbin) uses a Mossberg 500 throughout the film until it's taken by Military Unit. Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) carries one when they flee The Bone Shack.
Deputy Carlos (Carlos Gallardo) use a Field Mossberg 500 with a vent rib barrel that has been sawn down until he is killed. Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn) then uses it until they are forced to leave The Bone Shack,
The M16A1 rifle is used by the soldiers and the survivors at the Army base.
M16 Rifle
A number of the soldiers and survivors are seen armed with slab-sided M16 rifles with 30 round magazines.
Special
M16A2 Rifle
Special
M4A1 Carbine
Used by the soldiers.
Bushmaster Carbine
Wray gives Cherry Darling (Rose McGowan) a Bushmaster Carbine as her new leg.
Cherry kills Lewis with a blast from the M203.
Special
The following screen captures show how the gun was integrated via CGI into the shots of Rose McGowan's performance. Her leg was wrapped in a green or gray-colored cast & the rifle was mapped over it to achieve the effect.
AR15
El Wray uses an AR-15 carbine with a night vision scope when he and Cherry first run into zombies, and he uses it to kill many zombies.
Winchester 1894
Earl McGraw (Michael Parks) is seen handling a Winchester 1894 when he tells his daughter Dr. Block to go on without him at The Bone Shack.
Heavy Weapons
Browning M2HB
Several Browning M2HB are mounted on different military vehicles.
Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) uses a Cobray M11/9 fitted with a flash suppressor until she is given a Mossberg 500. One of the survivors is then seen with it when they leave The Bone Shack.
Other
Gun Case
In the police stations armory several shotguns and rifles are seen.
The last firearm in the rack is a shotgun and it appears to me to be a Winchester Model 12 from the barrel, magazine tube, and how they are attached to one another. The first to last is a rifle of some sort. It almost appears to be a M1 carbine derivative.SAWGunner89 19:06, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
