The following firearms were used in the film Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia:
Pistols & Revolvers
M1911A1
Bennie (Warren Oates) draws a full-size M1911A1 when shooting into the air while driving through Mexico with Elita. After this, he is seen only with the 9mm Colt Commander. By the looks of the Size or diameter of the barrel of the M1911A1 that he is firing only 9x19mm bullets in that one scene. Since information has shown that weren't any .45 ACP's at the time. Normally like this one would always use a Star Model B as the stand in to the .45 as it would save money.
Colt Commander
Bennie (Warren Oates) uses a Colt Commander throughout the film. Judging from the muzzle it appears to be chambered in 9mm which was more reliable at cycling blanks than the .45 ACP at the time.
Walther P38
Sappensly (Robert Webber) and several other gangsters carry Walther P38 pistols.
Single Action Army
Some of El Jefe's bodyguards carry Single Action Army revolvers.
Smith & Wesson M1917
One of the bikers (Kris Kristofferson) draws a Smith & Wesson M1917 on Bennie and Elita.
Colt Detective Special
The other biker carries a Colt Detective Special, which Bennie is able to take from him.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
The two men that beat up Bennie and Elita and steal Alfredo Garcia's head each have a Smith & Wesson Model 19.
Submachine Gun
Thompson M1921
Johnny Quill (Gig Young) uses a Thompson M1921 to mow down the members of Garcia's family who confronted Bennie about the head. One of El Jefe's bodyguards fires at Bennie's car with one in the finale.
Rifle
Winchester Model 1892
The members of Alfredo Garcia's family who go looking for Bennie have Winchester Model 1892 rifles. El Jefe's bodyguards also carry Winchester '92s.
Shotgun
double-barreled shotgun
One of Garcia's family members carries a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun when confronting Bennie.
