The following weapons appear in the television series Police Rescue:
Police Rescue was an Australian television series which originally aired on ABC TV between 1989 and 1996. It was producted by ABC and Southern Star Xanadu in association with the BBC.
Apart from the 61 episodes, there was a 90-minute pilot episode (first screened in 1989) as well as a feature film in 1994.
The series dealt with the New South Wales Police Rescue Squad based in Sydney and their work attending to various incidents from road accidents to train crashes.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The then standard issue sidearm of the NSW Police Force used by various characters across the series, most noteably those in general duties.
Beretta M92FS
Used by a bank robber in "Conduct Endangering Life".
Australian L1A1
The SLR is used with and without various types of scope by NSW Police State Protection Group officers in various espisodes such as 'Mad Dog', 'Raid' and 'Hostage'.
L1A1
Wood furniture versions of the L1A1 SLR are seen in the series. As it is an Australian production they are likely Lithgow made.
M16 / SP1
One Special Operations Team officer is briefly seen to load an M16/SPI in the episode "Hostage" as the team gets ready.
Model 1917 Enfield
Senior Sergeant Peter 'Ridgy' Ridgeway, a former Special Operations Team member, is forced to take a M1917 Enfield referred to as being a "25 rifle with telescopic sights" in order to shoot an armed hostage taker.
Unidentified Rifles
In the episode "Raid" an unknown "dart gun" is used by the Special Operations Team to tranquilize a guard dog before a raid on a criminal's house.
Unknown Pump-Shotgun
Various shotguns are used by police throughout the series in the hands of State Protection Group officers.
CS gas grenade
Unknown brand of CS gas grenades are used by Special Operations Team police in the episode "Raid".
