Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011)

FN Five-seveN

As of now the FN Five-seveN incorrectly holds 15 rounds instead of 20. Could be a replacement for the Beretta 92SB from the previous Modern Warfare games.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A2

The H&K MP5A2 is a new weapon shown in the screenshots and could be a replacement for Modern Warfare 2's MP5K. In the screenshot, the MP5A2 rail system seems to be modeled after the real life Knights Armament rail system for the MP5.

In this screenshot the MP5's seem to lack a handguard. The gas port and barrel underneath can be seen clearly. The R.I.S. is evident, but obscure. Also note Navy-pattern flash hiders.
File:CODMW3-MP5-4.jpg
Delta Force operatives are seen infiltrating the Russian submarine in the game's E3 gameplay footage.

Heckler & Koch MP5SD

The Heckler & Koch MP5SD is a weapon shown firstly in the Reveal Trailer and used by SAS operators, probably returns from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Assault Rifles

Colt M4A1

The M4A1 is a weapon also seen in Modern Warfare 2, featuring flip-up iron sights, EOTech XPS Holographic sight, Magnifying scope, Magpul MOE Carbine Stock, 5.56x45mm NATO Magpul, RIS foregrip and a 20-round STANAG magazine. However, some NPCs in the Reveal Trailer are seen carrying M4A1s in the same configuration as in Modern Warfare 2. This could be for reasons of early developing stages. In recent trailers, you can switch between the EOtech to the scope on the fly.

"AK-74u"

The fake AKS-74U from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare seems to have returned to its second sequel, still being incorrectly referred to as an "AK-74u". The mix and mash of different Kalashnikovs appears in game as the "AK-74u", which doesn't exist, and will probably be incorrectly called a submachine gun. It is modeled on the JG "AK Beta-F" airsoft rifle, which is an AK-47 with a very, very short front end, an AKS-74U gas block/front sight, flash hider, and rear sight, and black polymer furniture with an RIS rail on the handguard. The version in game appears to have bakelite magazines, which led to some to believe it actually was a 74, however the curve of the magazine give away that it is in fact based on a 47.

GE M134 Minigun

The GE M134 Minigun is an emplaced weapon returns from previous Modern Warfare titles, and seen firstly in the 'Reveal Trailer', later on E3's gameplay demo. The M134 is incorrectly mounted on the right doorway of an UH-60 Black Hawk instead directly on its right window.
