I've never even heard of this one. Of course it could be one of those many Smiths that just wasn't around very long. Is it supposed to be the early L-frame (pre-586/686), or simply a full-lugged K-frame to match the 586/686? (It doesn't look quite as big as a L-frame, though I could be wrong) [[User:StanTheMan|StanTheMan]] 16:15, 13 July 2011 (CDT) | I've never even heard of this one. Talk about Obscure
I've never even heard of this one. Of course it could be one of those many Smiths that just wasn't around very long. Is it supposed to be the early L-frame (pre-586/686), or simply a full-lugged K-frame to match the 586/686? (It doesn't look quite as big as a L-frame, though I could be wrong) StanTheMan 16:15, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
- EDIT - Looking through one of my old-ass Smith catalogs (1997, to be exact), it states the Model 581 is the first L-frame so I guess part of my question is answered. Still, I never heard of them so again, I figure they weren't around long (Like the 696 and some other S&W wheelguns I've heard of) StanTheMan 16:31, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
