The standard weapon used by armed police when they appear in the series is the Heckler & Koch MP5A3. They are all fitted with weaponlight forends and 30 round magazines.

One of the bank robbers in "Rag Week" (Series 1, Episode 4) carries a stainless Taurus PT92.
Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873
A member of the public (Trevor Peacock) brings a Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 into the station in "Fly on the Wall" (Series 2, Episode 3).
