Clive Barker's Jericho is a supernatural horror-themed first-person shooter developed by MercurySteam in conjunction with Clive Barker and published by Codemasters (Operation Flashpoint series). The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2007.
The story follows a Special Forces team called Jericho. The player assumes the role of Captain Devin Ross, the leader of the team. The other team members are: Captain Xavier Jones, Lt. Abigail Black, Sergeant Frank Delgado, Sergeant Wilhelmina Church, Corporal Simone Cole and Father Paul Rawlings. Captain Ross dies in the very first part of the game, but his soul lives on. He becomes capable of possessing other humans, enabling the player to switch to other members of the team on the go.
As the Jericho team advances into the Breach, it takes them back through time. The developers realized that finding a box of 5.56x45mm ammo in the middle of a Medieval castle would be unrealistic and not credible, instead of that they came up with a better, but also unrealistic idea: After reaching certain checkpoints Corporal Cole can restore the health and ALL ammo of the squad by using her arm-mounted super computer.
The following weapons can be seen in the game Clive Barker's Jericho:
IMI/Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX
Father Paul Rawlings uses two silver Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistols akimbo-style. Both pistols are fitted with 15-round extended magazines and are converted to full-auto (yie!). The pistols can be fired separately using the primary and secondary fire keys. The Mark XIX can fire normal, explosive or frag bullets. The one is his left hand is called "Destiny", the other one is "Faith".
Heckler & Koch MP7 Prototype
The H&K MP7 Prototype is used by Sergeant Wilhelmina 'Billie' Church in akimbo fashion with a Japanese sword, called the "Nadachi". The weapon is modeled with a 20-round magazine, which incorrectly holds 30 rounds. It also features an incorrect 3-round burst fire mode. The reloading animation is highly unrealistic, after swapping the magazines Church presses a non-existent "bolt-catch release button" instead of pulling the charging handle. The MP7 Prototype appears as "Kenjuu" in the game.
Heckler & Koch G36KV
Both Ross and Jones use a H&K G36KV as their standard weapon in the game. The gun is modeled with straight magazines, which hold 45 rounds, however their length are the same as the standard 30-round G36 magazines. The guns are equipped with H&K's "2-round burst" receivers, enabling semi-auto, 2-round burst and fully automatic fires. In addition to that both weapons are fitted with a fictional semi-automatic under-barrel shotgun attachment. (According to Wikipedia that UBSG is the M26 MASS, however it does not look like an actual M26 and also the operation is completely different.) The shotgun attachment is magazine-fed, with a 5 shell capacity. The G36KV appears as "Patrioteer" in the game.
Note additional 2-round burst mode on the selector.
Heckler & Koch XM8 Compact
Corporal Simone Cole uses an XM8 Compact carbine. It is equipped with a fictional hi-tech scope that can highlight enemies through walls and display their health levels. This gun, just like the H&K G36KV is modeled with a normal-length, straight magazine but holds 45 rounds. A "bonus" 3-round burst option is also present on this weapon, too. The game manual states that this weapon fires 5.7x28mm rounds, like the FN P90 submachine gun. The XM8 appears as "X-86 Gun" in the game.
Knight's Armament Company M110 SASS
Lt. Abigail Black (the "lesbian sniper" as Sgt. Delgado calls her) uses a modified KAC M110 SASS (Semi-Automatic Sniper System) in the game. She was a former U.S. Military marksman and after leaving the army she took her "XM-110 Sniper Rifle" and tuned it a bit. It features black finish, variable-zoom scope, custom vent holes, a single-shot grenade launcher and retractable butt-stock with adjustable cheek-rest instead of the M110's stock M16-style butt-stock. For balancing purposes the rifle holds only 5 rounds. Lt. Black can also use her telekinesis ability and shoot controllable "Ghost Bullets" from this weapon. Referred to as "Flash Thought".
Fabrique Nationale GL-1
A custom-built, extra long FN GL-1 grenade launcher is mounted on Lt. Abigail Black's M110 SASS. It is fitted with an M320-style grip and an L.E.D. that turns red when the launcher is not loaded. Up to ten grenades can be carried for it.
General Dynamics GAU-19/A
Sergeant Frank Delgado's primary weapon is a portable version of the GAU-19/A. This devastating weapon can tear down enemy hordes and has a surprisingly low recoil. Up to 1000 rounds can be carried for it. According to the manual, the in-game version fires the more common 7.62x51mm rounds instead of the .50 BMG. The GAU-19/A appears as "Hell's Keeper" in the game.
Bren Gun
British soldiers are using Bren guns during the World War II levels. These machine guns are fitted with bayonets, shorter barrels, and the carry handles are removed.
MG42
Several pillboxes can be seen fitted with MG42 machine guns when the Breach takes the Jericho team to the second World War. Due to the demonic possession, all the MG42's fire blue, laser-like beams instead of real bullets.
