Olsen-banden på spanden (The Olsen gang in a fix in English) was a 1969 gangster comedy movie of the Danish Olsen-banden series. As for the comic intent of the series, guns were used in the movie mostly for comic effects, i.e. to represent the ruthlessness or madness of certain characters.
As I'm not very good at identifying models, please feel free to discuss and identify the shown guns on the Discussion page! Thanks in advance! -- Egon Olsen 20:00, 19 June 2011 (CDT)
The following guns were used in the film Olsen-banden på spanden:
Pistols
Unidentified Water Pistol
In the teaser of the movie, main character Egon Olsen (Ove Sprogøe) is attempting a bank robbery by means of threatening the personnel with a Walther P38-like water pistol.
Unidentified Toy Pistol
Little Børge Jensen (Jes Holtsø) fires his toy gun at Inspector William Mortensen (Peter Steen) and hits his glasses with a sucker dart.
Unidentified Silenced Pistol
A thug of Italian-American gangster boss Serafimo Motzarella (Harold J. Stone) threatens psychologist Bodil Hansen (Ghita Nørby) with this gun.
Submachine Guns
Unidentified SMGs
Various unidentified SMGs can be seen as the police inspects the National Bank, which just has been robbed by Motzarella's men.
Tommy Gun SMG
SMGs that look very much like the Thompson M1928 are used by Motzarella's trenchcoat thugs. Stereotypically, they are also carried inside violin cases. They are used throughout the movie on the ocassions of intimidating pub owner Tjener Hansen (Paul Hagen) and during a chase with the Olsen gang and the police.
Unidentified SMG
As the police assumes the Olsen gang to be highly dangerous, Mortensen protects himself with some protective apron and a helmet and arms himself with a SMG. He later fires the gun in Hansen's pub again, leading to the third obstruction of the pub's interior.
Rifles
Unidentified Rifles
As his current henchmen fail to gain the stolen crown jewels back, Motzarella recruits some special "Bavarian" mobsters. They are seen carrying a variety of rifles towards the hideout of the Olsen gang.
Unidentified Rifle
Prior to this, a unidentified rifle is seen as it is taken from another violin case. It is possible that this is in fact a SMG of the same type Mortensen carries.
