:I believe it was four mags, instead of 3 since he would have two in the pouch and one in the gun, so that was a mistake. What is more notable is how he fires close to 20 shots from each mag despite them only holding 7 shots each. Anyone notice how in the first film he managed to keep his Beretta loaded all the way to the end and here he wastes all his ammo in one firefight? Last thing. In the theatrical edition he tells Farrell he destroyed the helicopter with the car because he was out of bullets but he tells Matt he has mags in the glove compartment when they leave his apartment. In the unrated version, they changed what he said and this error went away. Anyone feel free to delete this, perhaps after a few people read it first. I'm just listing the goofs I noticed. The following guns were used in the film Live Free or Die Hard:
SIG-Sauer P220R
John McClane's (Bruce Willis's) main weapon throughout the movie is a SIG-Sauer P220R (nowadays, this model is simply known as the standard P220). During the confrontation with Mai Linh (Maggie Q) in the power plant, she takes the P220 and holds it on Matt Farrel (Justin Long). After McClane hits her with an SUV, she loses the gun and it is never seen again; McClane later takes a Beretta PX4 Storm from a slain terrorist, which becomes his weapon for the rest of the movie.

Beretta Px4 Storm
A terrorist trying to kill John McClane (Bruce Willis) is using a silenced Beretta Px4 Storm. John McClane then picks it up and uses it in the second half of the film. During the final confrontation with Gabriel, McClane drops the pistol, and is then used by Matt Farell to kill Emerson with.
H&K UMP
Virtually all of the terrorists use the Heckler & Koch UMP. They are all fitted with C-More optical sights, Surefire M900A vertical grip/flashlight combinations, and flash hiders. McClane commandeers one after the shootout at Matt Farell's apartment, but never uses it.
Heckler & Koch G36C
Another weapon used by the terrorists is the Heckler & Koch G36C. Like the UMPs, they have C-More sights and tactical flashlights mounted on them.
Colt M4A1 Carbine
The Colt M4A1 Carbine is used by the FBI agents and security guards at the power plant, being fitted with Trijicon ACOG sights, AN/PEQ-2 lasers, and vertical fore grips.
Jericho 941
One of the guns Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) uses is a stainless steel Jericho 941, which he holds on McClane's daughter Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in the final confrontation. Later, he puts the Jericho to McClane's shoulder, and McClane simply forces him to pull the trigger, so that Gabriel is shot in the chest through McClane's shoulder.
Glock 17
Many of the police officers and security guards throughout the movie are armed with 3rd Generation Glock 17 pistols. McClane briefly uses one to kill a terrorist disguised as a guard at the power plant.
Beretta 92FS
One of the terrorists is seen with a Beretta 92FS, likely as a tribute to the original Die Hard films which made this gun famous.
Mark 12 Mod 1 SPR
The gun used by the terrorist snipers, first in the shootout at Matt Farell(Justin Long)'s apartment, and later during chase scene in Washington D.C., is the Mark 12 Mod 1 SPR (Special Purpose Rifle). A common misconception is that it's just the Mod 0, the Mod 1 is the silenced model. This is a little-known AR15 derivative which has seen use by U.S. special forces in Iraq. The versions in the movie are fitted with suppressors and brass catchers and are fired on automatic (which suggests that the terrorists simply took the upper receivers/barrels and slapped them on full-auto lowers).
Heckler & Koch P2000SK
Mai Lihn (Maggie Q) uses a suppressed Heckler & Koch P2000SK when she and some terrorists are in the power plant.
Heckler & Koch USP Tactical
During the scene at the power plant, McClane runs into a terrorist who is armed with a Heckler & Koch USP Tactical fitted with a KAC suppressor. McClane fires his SIG P220R and the terrorist fires the USP Tactical simultaneously over each other's heads before knocking each other's guns away. McClane eventually gets a Glock 17 out of the terrorist's holster and uses it to kill him.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Another gun used by Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) is the Heckler & Koch MP7A1 using one to kill some of his associates, and later Gabriel's henchman Emerson (Edoardo Costa) uses a Heckler & Koch MP7A1 to wound McClane moments before the rescue of his daughter Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Later, Lucy knocks the MP7 out of Emerson's hands and tries to kick it to McClane, but Gabriel intercepts the weapon before it reaches McClane.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
Emerson's (Edoardo Costa's) sidearm is a Heckler & Koch USP Compact which Lucy grabs after she knocks the MP7A1 out of his hands and shoots him in the foot with it, but he restrains her and holds it on her.
