Leon's [[VP70]] from [[Resident Evil 2]] seems to have been replaced with a third-generation [[Glock 17]]. While purists may cry out at the change, the Glock 17 isn't the worst decision the design team could have gone with, as it's in the same vein as the VP-70, a polymer pistol with a 17-round magazine capacity.

Leon's VP70 from Resident Evil 2 seems to have been replaced with a third-generation Glock 17. While purists may cry out at the change, the Glock 17 isn't the worst decision the design team could have gone with, as it's in the same vein as the VP70, a polymer pistol with a 17-round magazine capacity.

In Spectre's hands on the left.

An unnamed USS member is seen armed with an MP5A3, consistent with Resident Evil 2's choice of arming the USS. His example is fitted with a Surefire forend.

Rifles

Vektor, Spectre, and Beltway are all seen wielding G36Ks, sometimes suppressed. The forend features possibly-anachronistic rails, as the game takes place in September 1998.
