Chernobyl Terrorist Attack (called simply Chernobyl in some countries) is a low-budget first-person shooter video game. It is a mixture of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Soldier of Fortune spiced with the "killanythingthatmovestowardsyou" philosophy. The story is very simple: when terrorists take over Pripyat, only one man can save the world from the evil: Captain Yuri.
The following weapons appear in the video game Chernobyl Terrorist Attack:
Glock 18
The Glock 18 appears as the standard sidearm of Captain Yuri throughout the whole game. It can only fire in semi-automatic mode and holds 12 rounds, which is not a valid capacity for the G18 but for the Subcompact G26 and G28. The reloading animation is very fast, in fact because Yuri only pulls the slide but doesn't change the magazines at all.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
The H&K MP5A2 is the weapon Cpt. Yuri brings with himself to Pripyat. The red dot scope on the gun can be used for some sniping. Some of the "spec ops" terrorists use this weapon. The world model lacks the trigger and trigger guard.
Izhmash AK-47
The most common automatic firearm in the game. About 99 percent of the terrorists (that means approximately 1,564,784 armed men) use the AK-47 as his weapon of choice. This is the gun that can be found in every bush, so running low on ammo shouldn't be a problem.
Lieutenant General Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov will be shocked if he finds out that his masterpiece is portrayed as a weak air rifle in this game. About six shots to the neck and a few more to the head will kill a terrorist. It is the seventh best weapon in the game after the G18, MP5A2, SPAS-12,... well after everything else.
Franchi SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 is the only available shotgun in the game. It holds correctly 8 rounds and can be used in pump-action mode only, although terrorists use it in semi-auto mode. During a reload Yuri always inserts eight shell to the tube even if there are some unfired ones.
Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout
The Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout appears as ".338LM Sniper Rifle" in the game. It can be found on a roof next to a dead sniper. Holds 5 rounds and is probably the only one-shot one-kill weapon in the game.
Milkor MGL-140
The last weapon that can be found in the game. First used in the "Rough Ride" mission to defend the train from the incoming terrorists. Very effective for taking out large groups of enemies but finding ammo for it can be a huge problem in some levels.
The in-game model lacks the rails. That would make mounting a grip onto the launcher really difficult in real life. It must be also mentioned that the cylinder somehow forgets to rotate after the shots.
RPG-7
The RPG-7 is used by a few terrorists in Pripyat. They almost always commit suicide with it instead of killing Yuri.
