Animal Kingdom is a 2010 crime drama set in Melbourne. Loosely based on the real-life story of the Pettingill family and the Walsh Street Shootings in which two police officers were murdered, Animal Kingdom is about 17 year old Joshua 'J' Cody (James Frecheville) who finds himself living with his grandmother 'Smurf' and her sons when his mother dies after overdosing on heroin, and is caught in the middle when tensions between the Cody family and the police explode.

Sidearms
Beretta 92F
Craig (Sullivan Stapleton) hands a Beretta 92 to 'J' (James Frecheville) to scare off a Lebanese thug. It is later used by a Victorian SOG (Special Operations Group) Officer and 'J'.
Glock 17
The Glock 17 is used by Police Officers in the Witness Protection Program.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The standard issue weapon of the Victoria Police Force, the Smith & Wesson Model 10, is used by numerous Police Officers during the film. The Model 10 has since been replaced in service by the Smith & Wesson M&P.
Shotguns
Unknown Double Barreled Shotgun
An unknown Double-Barreled Shotgun, appearing to be a sawn-off model, is used by Darren Cody (Luke Ford) to shoot the two police officers.
Remington 870
Craig (Sullivan Stapleton) uses a Remington 870 attempting to escape the Police.
Franchi SPAS-12
The corrupt Police Officers led by Detective Randall Roach (Justin Rosniak) use Franchi SPAS-12 shotguns in the raid on 'J's house in witness protection.
