A Walk in the Sun is a 1945 World War II film that focuses a US Army platoon that lands in Italy in 1943 and is commanded by U.S. Army Sergeant Bill Tyne (Dana Andrews). When the platoon then makes its way inland to attempt to take a fortified farmhouse, tension and casualties mount. Director Lewis Milestone (All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)) achieves a gritty realism that is ultimately closer to the truth of combat.
- Actors: Dana Andrews, Richard Conte, George Tyne, John Ireland, Lloyd Bridges
- Directors: Lewis Milestone
The following guns were used in the movie A Walk in the Sun:
M1 Carbine
M1A1 Bazooka
M1A1 Thompson
For some reason they showed the one soldier always carrying an M1A1 Thompson but for all the firing scenes it was switched for a Model 1928A1 Thompson, probably because the 1928A1 was easier to blank adapt.
Browning 1919A4
M1 Garand
Browning Automatic Rifle
Browning M2 50 cal. Aircraft
Browning M2 50 cal. Heavy Barrel
1928A1 Thompson
Maxim MG08/15
It has air-cooled barrel so look more like MG08/18.
