Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is a 1994 comedy starring Jim Carrey as a private investigator who specializes in recovering lost pets. In the film, he takes on the case of the missing mascot of the Miami Dolphins football team. Carrey would reprise his role in 1995's Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.
The following weapons were used in the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective:
Smith & Wesson Model 65
Lt. Lois Einhorn (Sean Young) is seen threatening Ace with a Smith & Wesson Model 65.
Colt Python
Roc (Tiny Ron), one of the criminals kidnapping former NFL quarterback Dan Marino (played by Marino himself) uses a nickel Colt Python when Ace (Jim Carrey) is chasing them. Melissa Robinson (Courtney Cox) also uses one during her fake hostage taking of Ace's friend Emilio (Tone Lõc) in order to distract the Miami police.
Colt Commander
Sgt. Aguado (John Capodice) uses a nickel Colt Commander as his sidearm throughout the film.
Beretta 92F
The Beretta 92F is the standard sidearm for the Miami police.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
Miami SWAT officers also use Heckler & Koch MP5A2s.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
When Ace goes out to Ray Finkle's home during his investigation, he is confronted by Ray's father who greets him at the door by sticking both barrels of a Double Barreled Shotgun through the sliding viewport, cocked and loaded, directly into Ace's face.
