NYPD Blue was a police drama that aired on ABC for 12 seasons from 1993-2005. The show was produced by Steven Bochco (Hill Street Blues) and was controversial for the frank language and nudity that was unprecedented for a weekly network series.

The Glock 17 is the main sidearm of nearly all of the series' NYPD detectives including Det. Bobby Simone (Jimmy Smits), Det. James Martinez (Nicholas Turturro), Det.
