''The Aviator'' is a 1985 historical drama starring [[Christopher Reeve]] as a pilot for the US Air Mail Service who finds himself stranded with a wealthy rebellious woman ([[Rosanna Arquette]]) after his plane crashes.  The film was directed by George Miller (the Australian director of ''The Man from Snowy River'', and not the Australian director of ''[[Mad Max]]'' fame).  Also, the film is not to be with the Martin Scorsese's 2004 Howard Hughes biopic of the same name.
