State of Grace is a 1990 crime drama about a once hood-turned-cop Terry (Sean Penn) trying to infiltrate the gang he left. While back in the gang Terry's friendship with his friend Jackie (Gary Oldman) is rekindled, making it only harder to rat on Jackie and his brother, who runs the gang, Frankie (Ed Harris). State of Grace is an excellent crime drama that didn’t gain a lot of fame due to the release of other higher profile "gangster" films during that year (Goodfellas and The Godfather Part III).
The following guns were seen in the film State of Grace:
Smith & Wesson Model 6906
Terry (Sean Penn) uses a Smith & Wesson 6906 as his main sidearm throughout the movie. Nick gives him the 6906 and a Ruger SP101 in a shopping bag at the start of the film.
Ruger SP101
Terry uses what appears to be a Ruger SP101 revolver as a back up weapon. Although given to him at the same time as the Smith & Wesson 6906 at the start of the film, he only uses it during the bar shootout.
Charter Arms Bulldog
Jackie (Gary Oldman) uses a Charter Arms Bulldog revolver throughout the film. Jackie expresses how much he likes the revolver when he is showing the gun to Terry.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Pat pulls out a Smith and Wesson Model 36 as a backup gun after he is shot in the hand. Another gang member are seen using the gun in the shootout at the bar.
1911A1
When Terry and Jackie get into a fight, Terry removes a M1911A1 pistol from the man he's fighting. He throws the pistol into the river and tells the man that he hopes that was his favorite gun.
Beretta 85FS
Pat (R.D. Call) carries a Beretta 85FS during the movie and tries to shoot it during the bar shootout.
Beretta 92FS
Frankie (Ed Harris) uses a Beretta 92FS to shoot Jackie and during the bar shootout.
Ruger MkII
Pat uses a surpressed Ruger MkII pistol to kill the bartender.
MAC-10
Jackie and various other members of the gang acquire MAC-10 submachine guns when providing security for Frankie. While they wait for Frankie to call them, Jackie continually plays with his MAC-10 by cocking and dry firing it.
Uzi
When the gang leaves the loft to go check on Frankie, Thomas F Duffy is briefly seen carrying an Uzi submachine gun. Also seen when Duffy breaks down Sean Penn's apartment door later in the film.
Remington 870
During the bar shootout a gang member uses a Remington 870 with a pistol grip and rifled sights.
Tanfoglio TZ-75
During the bar shootout, Thomas F Duffy pulls out a Tanfoglio TZ-75 pistol. The pistol only appears for a second or two but can be distinguished by its tiggerguard, frame, and backstrap.
