Gods and Generals is the 2003 American Civil War film that depicts the Battles of Bull Run, Fredricksburg, and Chancellorville. Several characters from this film were featured in 1993's Gettysburg.
The following guns were used in the film Gods and Generals:
Springfield Model 1861
Union and Confederate troops carry Springfield Model 1861 and 1864 muskets, though the 1864s are anachronistic as the movie is set in 1860-1863. There are several epic battle scenes showing men reloading and firing their Springfields at one another. A Springfield is used to fatally wound Stonewall Jackson (Stephen Lang) by friendly fire.
Colt 1860 Army
Joshua Chamberlain (Jeff Daniels) carries a Colt 1860, which he wields and fires most notably in the Battle of Fredricksburg. Several officers carry Colt 1860s in their holsters.
Thomas Chamberlain (C. Thomas Howell) carries a Colt 1851, and uses it mostly at the Battle of Fredricksburg. Two of the Confederate Irish volunteers are seen firing Colt 1851s at the Union Irish volunteers at Fredrickburg. Several Confederate officers carry Colt 1851s, and keep them drawn most notably when Stonewall Jackson (Stephen Lang) is accidently shot by his own men.
Cannon
Cannon are used in every battle scene, taking out several soldiers with each shot.
