Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
The following weapons were used on the television series Psych:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is used by several characters in the series.
In Season 2's "Bounty Hunters!", SBPD Det. Juliet O'Hara (Maggie Lawson) appears to have traded in her Glock 19 for a Beretta 92FS as her sidearm.
In Season 2's "There's Something About Mira", Mace Rhoden (Roger Haskett) uses a Beretta.
In Season 3's "Gus Walks Into a Bank", Phil Stubbins (Alan Ruck) uses a Beretta during the bank holdup.
In Season 4's "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark", Garth Longmore's partner (John Hawkes) pulls a Beretta on Shawn.
In Season 5's "We'd Like to Thank the Academy", ASP Red Gun replicas of the Beretta are carried and drawn by both Shawn and Gus (Dule Hill). (It should be noted the real life Santa Barbara Police Department issues the H&K USP.)
Beretta 84BB
In Season 2's "Psy vs. Psy", Lindsay Leikin (Bianca Kajlich) holds Shawn hostage with a Beretta 84BB.
Colt 1860 Army revolver
In Season 1's "Weekend Warriors" (S1E06), Griffin Mahoney (Peter Michael Goetz) is seen showing off a collection of Civil War memorabilia, which includes several revolvers, including a Colt 1860 Army.
Colt Single Action Army
In the Episode "High Noon-Ish" Hank Mendel (James Brolin) and Stinky Pete Dillingham (Jim Beaver) both use Single Action Army revolvers with 5 1/2 inch barrels and different custom finishes.
Colt M1911A1
In Season 4's "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark", Garth Longmore (Michael Rooker) holds the Springfield Armory M1911A1 on Shawn.
Colt Mustang
Det. Lassiter is seen taking a Colt Mustang from a bowl of peanuts in Season 3's "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing".
Desert Eagle
In Season 3's "Truer Lies" (S3E14), Shawn, Gus, and Lyin' Ryan (Jonathan Silverman) are pursued by assassins, one of whom is armed with a Desert Eagle.
In Season 2's "Psy vs. Psy", the Desert Eagle is the sidearm of Treasury Department Special Agent Lars Ewing (Lou Diamond Phillips), an odd weapon for a federal agent to carry.
Glock 17
The Glock 17 is the sidearm carried by both Detective Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson). Det. Lassiter carries a Glock 17 pistol as his primary sidearm. He has worn it in various shoulder rigs, even having a quick draw dual from his shoulder holster. In Season 4's "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark", Shawn Spencer (James Roday) is seen firing Lassiter's Glock while hanging on the hood of a car. Detective Lassiter also is seen dual wielding these in the bar in Season 4's "Shawn Gets the Yips". Most recently he has been using an Alessi Bodyguard. When Timothy Omundson broke his arm in real life, he had to use hip holsters as he had a sling. In Season 5's "We'd Like To Thank the Academy", Shawn is seen training at the police academy with the Glock and purposely shooting a civilian target, explaining she must be a criminal to have food in a library that doesn't allow snacks.
Glock 17L
In Season 4's "You Can't Handle This Episode", Juliet's brother Ewan O'Hara (John Cena) carries a Glock 17L that he is seen using in a gunbattle as well as holding it on Lt. Wallach (Sean Rogerson) on the pier.
Glock 19
The smaller Glock 19 is the sidearm of Detective Juliet O'Hara (Maggie Lawson) who carries it IWB at the 5 o'clock position.
Heckler & Koch VP70
In Season 2's "Bounty Hunters!" (S2E09), Byrd Tatums (Kevin Sorbo) draws a Heckler & Koch VP70 on Shawn and Gus at the police station after they trick him in a prisoner exchange. Shawn takes one from a bad guy and uses it to hold him at bay in Season 5's "We'd Like to Thank the Academy".
Ruger P89
In Season 3's "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing", a suspect kidnaps Shawn and holds him at gun point while at Lassiter's home with a Ruger P89 until Lassiter puts a round in his shoulder with his concealed pistol.
Smith and Wesson Model 629
In Season 1's "Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast", a Smith & Wesson Model 629 with rosewood grips and nickel finish is used by Detective Lassiter at the firing range and then used by his temporary partner Detective Goochberg (Mercedes Ruehl) who did not brace for the recoil and it (unrealistically) flies out of her hands and smashes into the wall breaking into several parts.
Smith & Wesson Model 65
In Season 4's "Thrill Seekers and Hell Raisers", Stu (Bradley Stryker) is found in a trailer with what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 65 next to his body.
Smith & Wesson 3913 "Lady Smith"
In the Episode "There Might Be Blood" Ashley (Kelly Overton) uses a Smith & Wesson 3913 "Lady Smith" during her shootout with Lasiter, Juliet, Chief Vick (Kirsten Nelson), and Commander Barbara Dunlap (Jane Lynch).
Walther P99
In the pilot episode, Detective Lucinda (Anne Dudek) uses a Walther P99 at the police shooting range before handing the weapon off to Shawn Spencer (James Roday) who procedes to fire several shots, each hitting adjacent to the Detective's hits.
A chrome version is carried by Pierre Despereaux (Cary Elwes) in "Extradition British Columbia."
Walther PPK/S
In one episode Detective Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) retrieves a stainless Walther PPK from a bowl of peanuts on his counter to incapacitate an intruder armed with a Ruger P89.
Ewan O'Hara (John Cena) carries one of these in his right combat boot. Lassiter then inquires about it and examines the weapon remarking that it is "a sweet gun."
Also used by Raylene Wilcroft (Anne Marie DeLuise) in the episode "Woman seeking dead husband: Smokers Okay, No Pets"
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
In Season 2's "Bounty Hunters!" (S2E09), Byrd Tatums (Kevin Sorbo) is armed with a sawed-off Ithaca 37 when he boards the boat that Dwayne Tancana (W. Earl Brown) is on.
Mossberg 500
In Season 4's "Lassie Did A Bad, Bad Thing", several SBPD Officers are armed with the Mossberg 500 during the station lockdown.
Remington Model 31
In the pilot episode, a SWAT officer is seen armed with a Remington Model 31 shotgun.
Remington 870
In Season 1's "Forget Me Not", Ranger DeSoto (Gardiner Millar) holds a Remington 870 on Shawn and Gus.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
In the episode "Extradition: British Columbia" a RCMP ERT officer points a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 at Shawn and Gus after their failed sting operation.
Also used by fake Spanish guards in the episode "The Greatest Adventure In The History of Basic Cable".
In Season 3's "Gus Walks Into a Bank", SWAT officers are seen armed with the MP5A3.

Several SBPD Officers are seen holding the M16A2 when the police station goes into lockdown in Season 3's "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing". There is two gun racks full of these in the military armory in Season 4's "You Can't Handle This Episode".
M14
In the episode "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark" there is a picture on the wall of the gas station. In the photo Garth Longmore (Michael Rooker) is holding a M14 rifle as a member of LRRP (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol).
Heckler & Koch G36
The men smuggling weapons out of the military armory shoot at Shawn and Gus with Heckler & Koch G36 rifles with reflex sights in Season 4's "You Can't Handle This Episode".
Springfield 1861
The Springfield 1861 rifle used by Civil War re-enactors throughout Season 1's "Weekend Warriors" (S1E06). The rifle also apparently was used to murder Nelson Poe (Yves Cameron). It's also seen being handled by Juliet later in the episode.
Winchester 70
In the episode "Thrill seekers and Hell Raisers" Derek (Steve Howey) used a Winchester Model 70 to murder Brian Sampson.
Other
M72 LAW
In Season 4's "You Can't Handle This Episode", Shawn is seen picking up an M72 LAW. Ewan O'Hara points out that Shawn is pointing it at his own head.
