The Insider is a 1999 drama directed by Michael Mann and stars Russell Crowe and Al Pacino. The film is based on the true story of a big tobacco executive (Crowe) who wants to blow the whistle to a "60 Minutes" producer (Pacino), but finds his life threatened by unseen forces.
