The Following weapons were used in Ghost Recon: Island Thunder:
Pistols
Makarov PM
Russian handgun firing 9x18mm Makarov. Has a capacity of eight rounds. Used as a sidearm in some weapons kits.
Heckler & Koch HK4
German sidearm in .32 ACP. Available to the player, listed as the "9mm SA" in certain kits.
Beretta M9
Moderized version of the italian 92 series handgun, made for the U.S. military. Can be used with or without suppressor based on the kit the player selects.
Colt M1911
American .45 ACP handgun. Has a capacity of seven rounds, used with and without the suppressor.
Submachine guns
Star Z-84
Spanish SMG in 9x19mm parabellum, has a capacity of 25 rounds contained in a box magazine housed in the pistolgrip of the weapon. The weapon is unsuppressed in-game.
Samopal Sa Vz. 25
Heckler & Koch MP5A4
German Submachine gun used by many counter-terrorist groups worldwide. Has a capacity of 30 9x19mm parabellum rounds.
Heckler & Koch MP5SD5
Integrally suppressed version of the previous for covert operations.
Izhmash PP-19 Bizon
Russian SMG in 9x18mm Makarov. Has a capacity of 50 rounds. Ammo is contained in helical magazine like that of the Calico SMG.
Assault Rifles
M4
Shortened version of the M16. Uses the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge. Has a capacity of 30+1 rounds.
M4 SOCOM (Suppressed)
A short version of the M4 fitted with a suppressor for covert engagements.
Samopal Vz. 58
Checkoslavakian Assault Rifle with a capacity of 30+1 rounds. Despite resemblance to the AK, the only that trait they share is the Vz. 58 has the same cartridge as the AK, they do not even share common magazines.
M16A2
Modernized M16A1 Assault Rifle. Fires 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Remington). Has a capacity of thirty rounds. Fires in semi-automatic or three-shot burst settings.
XM29 OICW weapon system
Failed project to mount an over-barrel, semi-automatic, grenade launcher to the G36 assault rifle. The project failed due to excess weight of the firearm all together. However, the idea behind the assault carbine portion was used to make the XM8 Prototype Rifle.
AK47
The most popular russian assault rifle on the planet. The AK-47 is chambered in 7.62x39mm Soviet. Has a capacity of 30+1 rounds. Fires in semi-automatic and fully-automatic settings.
AK-74
Modernized AK-47 chambered in then newer 5.45x39mm Russian round. Has a capacity of 30+1 rounds. Fires in semi-auto and full-auto settings like it's predecessor, the AK-47.
AKSU-74
Assault Carbine version of the previous, has a shorter barrel and metal folding stock. to aide the shooter in close, small environments.
Nikonov AN94
Russian prototype assault rifle. Fires in full-auto (750 r.p.m.), or in a two-shot burst (1200 r.p.m.). Has a capacity of 30+1 rounds, can be fitted with a GP-30 Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher based on kit selection.

M24 Sniper Weapon System
Militarized Remington 700 hunting rifle. Fires the 7.62x51mm NATO or (.308 winchester). Holds 10 rounds.
L96A1
British bolt-action rifle with a 10-round detachable box magazine. chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO (.308) in-game. used as the primary weapon of sniper Jack Stone.
Barrett M82A1
Heavy sniper rifle that can be selected in a kit in multiplayer only. Has a 10-round magazine.
SVD Dragunov
Soviet sniper rifle in 7.62x54R. Has a capacity of 10 rounds. The chosen weapon of Astra Galiski.
Heckler & Koch PSG1
One of the most expensive sniper rifles in the world. The H&K PSG1 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. It has a capacity of ten rounds.
