The Mechanic is a 1972 thriller starring Charles Bronson as a professional assassin who takes under his wing the young son of one of the heads of the organization he works for. A remake starring Jason Statham is scheduled for released in 2011.

Both Bishop and Steve are seen using Browning Auto-5 shotguns when skeet-shooting.

One of the guards at the mansion pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver when answering the door.

M3 Grease Guns are seen used during the mountain road shootout.

Bishop and Steve use sawed-off Remington Model 31 shotguns for their boat assassination job. They later use them during the mountaintop shootout.
