is it just me or does the "1911" look like the bore is too small to be a .45? Could it be a Star Model B instead? 67.193.240.76
- Actually it seems to be an M1911. It could be an M1911 chambered in .38 super which were available back in the day. Many of these were converted (very easily) to fire 9mm blanks. In the older days, it was hard to blank adapt M1911s to fire .45 acp blanks reliably and many of the M1911s you see in old war movies were 9mm guns. Nighthawks was filmed during a time when these 9mm M1911s were plentiful. MoviePropMaster2008
