The following weapons were used in the film The Cowra Breakout:
Corporal Doyle (Laurie Moran) and Private Hook (Max Cullen) man a Vickers Mk1 Machine Gun mounted on a truck during the breakout. After being overrun, Hook manages to dismantle the gun to prevent its use by the Japanese.
Stan Davidson (Alan David Lee) pulls the pin on a Mills Bomb to scare Junji Hayashi (Junichi Ishida) in the New Guinea mission. Hayashi manages to grab it during hand-to-hand combat with Stan, but Stan manages to throw it away from the both of them.
Junji Hayashi (Junichi Ishida) uses an Arisaka Type 38 in New Guinea. After a failed banzai charge, Stan Davidson (Alan David Lee) bayonets him in the chest but fails to kill him.
A Japanese machine gun crew use a Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun against Australian soldiers in the swamp, killing Nobby (Alex Brown). Junji Hayashi (Junichi Ishida) uses a Type 92 from the bunker at the Catholic Mission.
