A Taurus 44 is one of the guns that are bet when the Losers play cards at the beginning of the film.
The 44 being a 44 magnum 6 shooter while the 608 is built on the same frame as the model 44 but can fit 8 shots of 357 magnum cartridges. It's a big framed revolver and is not like previously stated a Taurus Raging Bull. As per screen shot the extra cylinder locking catch of the Raging Bull isn't visible, the barrel profile is different from the Raging Bull since the Raging Bull has a tear drop profile and the Raging Bull's vents are not there either. The normal Taurus 44 or 608 ports are well visible. Hence the gun used in the movie is a Taurus 44 in 44 Magnum.
The Taurus 44 is a .44 magnum 6 shooter, while the Taurus 608 is a .357 magnum 8 shot revolver, built on the same frame as the 44. It's a large-framed revolver and can be easily mistaken for the more well-known Taurus Raging Bull. As can be seen in the screenshots below the extra cylinder locking catch of the Raging Bull isn't visible, the barrel profile is different (the Raging Bull has a tear drop profile) and the vents of the Raging Bull are not present.
