Stathis Borans ([[John Getz]]) uses a [[12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun#Over and Under Shotgun (O/U)|O/U Shotgun]] when confronting the mutated Seth Brundle (reffered to as "Brundlefly")  ([[Jeff Goldblum]]) in his lab. He fails to kill Brundle with it, but manages to sever the power cables to Veronica Quaife's ([[Geena Davis]]) Telepod. Veronica later uses it to put Brundlefly out of its misery when it is fused with one of the telepods.

The Fly is the 1986 remake of the classic 1958 science fiction horror film of the same name. The film was written and directed by David Cronenberg and stars Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. The film would also spawn the 1989 sequel The Fly II.
