The M1 Garand is used by most of the Americans in the film, including Noah Ackerman (Montgomery Clift) and Michael Whiteacre (Dean Martin).

An American G.I uses the Browning Automatic Rifle during the farmhouse battle.

A Bren Gun can be seen briefly used by the British soldiers in North Africa.
