Horatio Caine uses a Beretta Cougar in the first seasons, but later switches to a Sig Sauer P229 in 9mm pistol, as evident in "Lost Son," and again when it is mentioned in season three that 9mm guns are department issued.  (It is unclear, then, how Calliegh can use a .45 ACP Kimber, but she does.) He also owns a Beretta 92, as seen in episode "Cyber-lebrity" and is given a Browning Hi-Power in .40 SW, as seen in "Ambush" and "All In". In one episode (Going, Going, Gone) he uses a Heckler & Koch G3-variant police-issue sniper rifle.

Numerous Beretta 92FS pistols are seen throughout CSI Miami's run, both in the hands of good and bad guys alike.  Horatio Caine used one in the CSI Season 2 episode "Cross Jurisdictions" that established the Miami team, and later on in Season 6, placed a blank-firing version into his truck to lure a stalker into a trap during the episode "Cyber-lebrity".  Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo) also carries a Beretta 92FS which he cleans regularly - in a slightly humorous scene from Season 3's "Under the Influence", Ryan (still a patrolman at the time) worries that he's lost a spot on the team when Horatio notes that he keeps his gun very well maintained.  Unbeknownst to him, Horatio was admiring and not admonishing - Wolfe was introduced not too long after Tim Speedle had died due to a malfunctioning weapon.
