''Machete'' is a mock trailer that was part of the Grindhouse experience and also was included on the Planet Terror DVD. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and starred [[Danny Trejo]] as Mexican operative framed and left for dead. The trailer was later expanded into the full length [[Machete|2010 film]].

After the senator hires Machete ([[Danny Trejo]]), the camera pans on several guns. This scene is similar to [[Escape from New York]]. Which John Carpenter directed, Robert Rodriguez uses music scores similar to John Carpenter themes during the film. [[The Walther P99]] is a CP99, a CO² version firing .177 iron balls (note the fake suppressor)

Planet Terror is the first half of 2007's Grindhouse double bill which includes Death Proof. This film was directed by Robert Rodriguez, and follows a group of survivors that struggle to escape a town filled with inhabitants infected with a deadly virus. Planet Terror was released on DVD separately with additional scenes added and featured a mock trailer for a revenge film called Machete, which was subsequently expanded into a full theatrical film to be released in 2010.

A Single Action Army is used by Earl McGraw (Michael Parks). It is amazingly seen firing seven shots when he uses it against the infected Dr. Block (Josh Brolin). Director Robert Rodriguez notes on the DVD commentary that he purposely added the seventh shot in the sound mix.
Deputy Tolo (Tom Savini) carries a Mossberg 500 in the hospital when Wray is first picked up. Hot Female Deputy (Emmy Robbin) uses a Mossberg 500 throughout the film until it's taken by Military Unit. Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) carries one when they flee The Bone Shack.
Deputy Carlos (Carlos Gallardo) use a Field Mossberg 500 with a vent rib barrel that has been sawn down until he is killed. Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn) then uses it until they are forced to leave The Bone Shack,
The following screen captures show how the gun was integrated via CGI into the shots of Rose McGowan's performance. Her leg was wrapped in a green or gray-colored cast & the rifle was mapped over it to achieve the effect.
Babysitter Twin #1 (Electra Avellan) uses a Cobray M11/9 fitted with a flash suppressor until she is given a Mossberg 500. One of the survivors is then seen with it when they leave The Bone Shack.
The last firearm in the rack is a shotgun and it appears to me to be a Winchester Model 12 from the barrel, magazine tube, and how they are attached to one another. The first to last is a rifle of some sort. It almost appears to be a M1 carbine derivative.SAWGunner89 19:06, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
