A Heckler & Koch USP Match makes its first appearance when it is given to Selene (Kate Beckinsale) by Kahn (Robbie Gee) to test out. When she fires it, silver liquid comes out of the target, and we learn that the gun is loaded with Silver Nitrate bullets which were copied from the Lycan's ultraviolet ammunition, and are very lethal to the werewolves as it allows silver to flow into their blood stream. Lucian (Michael Sheen) also has one at the end of the film. | |||

Revision as of 20:34, 12 September 2010
The following weapons were used in the film Underworld:
Pistols
Modified Beretta 92FS
The signature weapons of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) are two Beretta 92FS handguns modified to fire on full auto with barrel weights attached, possibley standing in for compensators.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
While at the mansion's shooting range, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) can be seen firing a Heckler & Koch USP Compact along with other weapons. A vampire during the subway shootout is also seen using one.
Heckler & Koch USP-9
A Heckler & Koch USP-9 is given to Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) by Selene (Kate Beckensale) when he is chained to a chair at the safehouse, and attempts to free himself by shooting the chain with the gun but fails.
Heckler & Koch USP Match
A Heckler & Koch USP Match makes its first appearance when it is given to Selene (Kate Beckinsale) by Kahn (Robbie Gee) to test out. When she fires it, silver liquid comes out of the target, and we learn that the gun is loaded with Silver Nitrate bullets which were copied from the Lycan's ultraviolet ammunition, and are very lethal to the werewolves as it allows silver to flow into their blood stream. Towards the end of the film, Kraven (Shane Brolly) also uses a USP Match loaded with the same ammunition.
IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII
Many Lycans (werewolves) in the film use nickel plated IMI Desert Eagle Mark VIIs chambered in .44 Magnum as their handguns. They are loaded with hollow bullets filled with a special irradiated fluid that emits ultraviolet light: "Sunlight used as a weapon." Selene takes a Desert Eagle loaded with the special bullets off a Lycan warrior, Trix (Todd Schneider) in the beginning of the film. Lucian (Michael Sheen) also has one at the end of the film.
Walther P99
In addition to her Beretta 92FS handguns mentioned above, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) also uses a pair of two tone Walther P99s fitted with Kemmer Tech BA-5 laser sights at the bottom of the barrels. The guns have been modified to lessen the weight required on the trigger to fire, allowing Kate Beckinsale's character to fire them almost as if they were fully automatic, which the sound editors for the film must have decided they were, since the weapons report like submachine guns.
Standard black Walther P99s are also seen used by both vampires and Lycans in the film.
Submachine Guns
Unknown SMG
During the scene when Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between Lycans and Vampires, it cuts to a gun rack, where an unknown submachine gun is seen.
Heckler & Koch MP5K (with and without PDW folding stock)
Most of the vampire death dealers in the film use Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine guns both with and without PDW folding stock. Since they lack the extended barrels, they are not MP5K-PDWs.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Both the Vampires and Lycans can be seen using Heckler & Koch MP5A3s on several occasions. And the way to tell the two side's MP5A3s apart is that the Lycan's guns usually have tactical flashlights on the foregrip.
Spectre M4
A Spectre M4 submachine gun is seen in the vampire armory.
Steyr TMP
In the firefight at the beginning of the film, Raze (Kevin Grevioux) uses two Steyr TMPs to battle the vampires in the subway. Several are also seen in the vampire armory.
Shotguns
Franchi SPAS-12
After the firefight in the subway, the Lycan leader Lucian (Michael Sheen) breaks up a fight between two werewolves by firing a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun with a shortened barrel and magazine tube in the air and telling them that they are behaving like rabid dogs. A Lycan is also seen loading one up before the final battle.
Rifles
AKM
During the scene where Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between the vampires and the Lycans, and when the the Lycans are loading up, several AKMs can be seen being handed out. They are also seen layered up in a gun rack, although some of these may be milled reciever Norinco Type 56 rifles.
AKMSU
What appears to be AKMSU assault carbines are seen in the gun racks, based on their lack of full stocks and short barrels.
AMD-65
In Kahn's (Robbie Gee) armory, there are AMD-65 Assault Rifle on the racks.
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
In Kahn's (Robbie Gee) Armory there is a Heckler & Koch PSG-1 Sniper Rifle leaning against the wall.
Heckler & Koch G36K
Many of the Lycans use Heckler & Koch G36K assault rifles in the film, may of which have flashlights taped on top of the forends.
M16A1 with A2 Handguards
During the scene when Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between Lycans and vampires, it cuts to a gun rack, where an M16A1 with A2 handguards is seen with many other weapons. One is also seen in the vampire armory.
Enfield L85A1
During the scene when Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between Lycans and Vampires, it cuts to a gun rack, where an Enfield L85A1 is seen with many other weapons.
M4A1 Carbine
Towards the end of the film, Kahn (Robbie Gee) can be seen with an M4A1 Carbine, fitted with a scope, a laser pointer and a Surefire M500AB tactical flashlight in the foregrip. The lower receiver lacks the "fencing" around the magazine release, which means it's actually an M4 barreled upper receiver mounted onto an early Colt SP1 (original M16) lower receiver. Since so many SP1 lower receivers were converted to full auto fire (for movie use) in the last three decades, this is a common practice.
Steyr AUG A1
During the scene when Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between Lycans and Vampires, it cuts to a gun rack, where a Steyr AUG A1 is seen with many other weapons.
Heavy Weapons
GE M134 Minigun
Two GE M134 Miniguns are seen in the vampire armory.
MG34
An MG34 is seen on the top shelf of the rack in the vampire armory. Another one may be lying flat next to it, but it's too hard to see fully.
RPD light machine gun
An RPD light machine gun is seen behind Selene (Kate Beckinsale) in the vampire armory.
RPK light machine gun
What appears to be the club stock of an RPK light machine gun is seen in the vampire armory.
Silver Grenade
A vampire death dealer uses a silver grenade during the final battle.
Melee and Edged Weapons
Silver Razor Whip
Kraven's enforcer Soren (Scott McElroy) uses silver-plated razor whips to fight Raze (Kevin Grevioux) but one gets caught and Soren is killed.
Long Sword
Viktor (Bill Nighy) uses a long sword to finish off Raze (Kevin Grevioux) in werewolf form; after Viktor drops the sword in battle with Michael (Scott Speedman), Selene (Kate Beckinsale) takes it up.
Fighting Knives
Without his sword, Viktor (Bill Nighy) whips out two immense fighting knives during the final battle.
Retractable Arm Blade
Lucian (Michael Sheen) uses a blade that extends from his sleeve in an attempt to stop Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael (Scott Speedman) as he pursues them. He later distracts Kraven (Shane Brolly) by stabbing him in the leg with it.
Silver Shuruken Stars
Selene (Kate Beckinsale) uses several retractable shuruken throwing stars made of silver to combat the Lycans.
