San Francisco narcotics cop Sean Kane (Chuck Norris) carries a satin nickel-plated Colt Commander (or Combat Commander) as his main side arm during the beginning of the film. Sean is later forced to resign by turning in his gun to Captain Stevens. At the end of movie Captain Stevens (Richard Roundtree) also carries this gun as his main sidearm.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Tom McCoy (Matt Clark) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 36 to try and kill Sean.

One of the felons uses a Walther P38 during the apartment shootout.
