The Keep was the second feature film direct by Michael Mann. It has gained something of a cult film status and many consider it a campy classic..
The following firearms are used in the 1983 film The Keep:
MP40
Several of the German soldiers including Captain Klaus Woermann (Jürgen Prochnow) carry MP40 machine guns.
MP28/II
The SS troops commanded by Major Kaempffer (Gabriel Byrne) mostly use Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II submachine guns.
Walther PPK
SS Major Eric Kaempffer (Gabriel Byrne) carries what looks like a Walther PPK as his sidearm.
Karabiner 98k
The Wehrmacht soldiers use Karabiner 98k rifles. Although the SS mostly use submachine guns, a few are seen with Karabiners.
MG34
The MG34 is used by German sentries at the entrance to the Keep.
