Desperate Hours is a 1990 remake of a 1955 Humphrey Bogart film of the same name. In this film, Mickey Rourke stars as an escaped convict who takes over a home and terrorizes the family inside. Anthony Hopkins and Mimi Rogers are the husband and wife who try to keep their family alive as they try to devise a way to escape. The film was directed by Michael Cimino (The Deer Hunter).

Walther PPK
The Walther PPK is the main handgun used by Michael Bosworth (Mickey Rourke). He has it smuggled into the courthouse by his girlfriend Nancy Breyers (Kelly Lynch). Later, it's seen held by both Wally Bosworth (Elias Koteas) and Tim Cornell (Anthony Hopkins).
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Nora Cornell (Mimi Rogers) keeps what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver in her home. It's seen taken and used by Albert (David Morse).
Smith & Wesson 459
FBI Special Agent Chandler (Lindsay Crouse) is seen carrying a Smith & Wesson 459 as her sidearm. When Nancy Breyers asks for a gun, Chandler unloads her S&W and gives it to her. Later in what appears to a continuity error, Michael Bosworth is seen opening fire on officers with it.
Beretta 84BB
F.B.I. Agent Chandler (Lindsay Crouse) later is seen with a Beretta 84BB that she gives to Tim Cornell.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is carried by several FBI agents including Special Agent Lexington (John Finn).
Winchester Model 70
SWAT snipers are seen using Winchester Model 70 rifles fitted with scopes and laser sights.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Numerous SWAT officers are armed with the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 when they surround the Cornells' house. Chandler is also seen with it during the standoff.
Ithaca 37
Sheriff's deputies are seen armed with Ithaca 37 shotguns at the roadblock leading to the Cornells' home.
