:- Actually he was in all but one of the 'Dirty Harry' films (''The Dead Pool'' being the exception), but yes, did play different characters. I didn't really understand how that was possible either, logically speaking, but he did perform fairly well in most of them. I agree with Olivera about his character 'Horace' in ''Sudden Impact''. I think he did fine with the 'I gots to know..' in the original ''Dirty Harry'' as well. How exaclty did he get in all the movies?
