Thoughts on the film

A potentially great film with so many lost opportunities. It would start with something really COOL and totally diffuse it or make it lame minutes later. Of course, NOWADAYS, the conclusion would have a CGI army of superpowered wolves storming down Manhattan and killing everyone! MoviePropMaster2008

Yeah, the ending sort of pissed me off ;I mean come on -Subspecides of Wolves with human-like intelligence that solely feed on the homeless and the sick to survive?? --AdAstra2009 18:01, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
You notice how many flippin times they threw in a red herring? Only to snatch it away moments later. Some sort of COOL revelation or plot device and then 'whoops" nope, that's nothing, ignore that story device, move on, nothing to see here....... And what was the damned deal with the Native American Steel workers? Were they shape shifters? or not! Ugh. This film pissed me off. Great buildup and no payoff. I saw this film in 1981 at the theater. It seemed pretty radical at the time. Especially the cinematography with the gee whiz infrared heat sensitive wowee tech. I remember being on the edge of my seat as well, but I was thirteen also. You're right there are too many red herrings.Miss Venora was pretty hot though. --Jcordell 21:08, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Diane Venora's Snubnose

I labeled it as a Smith & Wesson Model 36 because of the front sight and the shape of the trigger guard but looking at it again I've noticed that it has a six round cylinder. I'm starting to think its either a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snubnose or a Colt Detective Special 3rd Generation.

I'm thinking it's a Smith & Wesson Model 10 snubbie. While it could be the camera's perspective the model appears to big to be a Model 36. But it is absolutely a Smith & Wesson.--Jcordell 21:05, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Look at it. The Mod 36 is way too small to be the revolver she's holding in her hand when she is holding the cat. MPM

yep. It's a Model 10.--Jcordell 23:46, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
