No other page on IMFDB includes skins and mods for the game. I don't get why so many people think this page is somehow special and therefore exempt to the rules. I don't think any disrespect for the game developers was intended. The bottom line is that this page is incredibly cluttered as is, and needs a drastic clean up. | No other page on IMFDB includes skins and mods for the game. I definitely agree. It is trivial to find out what guns are actually in the game, we don't need someone trying to slap in mods to the game. --[[User:Lord Mo|Lord Mo]] 23:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC) |

i dont think that the xm8, SCARs or the qbz95 are in counter strike, for any platform.
Reply to above: Remember, this isn't normal CS, this is a spin off of it made by Nexon, so they would put in new weapons that you have to buy.
- yeah but some of the guns in here are unrealistic or simply replaces guns that really are in the game like a m4a1 and a h&k 416.
besides it can be only counter strike skins. if you look on google fpsbanana, and go to skins section, you can find visual replacements for every gun in a fps game. and in cs 1.6 and cs cz its easy to create a new hud image (the images in grey with lots of new guns) -betwen other things-
some of the guns you provide here are taken from counter strike condition zero deleted scenes. the m60, has never apeared, and would replace the mg3. the laws, is the another gun wich actually is seen in cs cz ds and it has never shown in any picture (in-game) or video preview.
I recently had a skin pack, with some of the original skins, and most of them are for real. But m60 and Laws arent real. Those sprites are even in my cs 1.6, and dont try to claim i have cs cz ds hud, because I haven´t(cscz ds hud is green and 1.6 is kinda orange). people, keep in mind that cso changes betwen markets, maybe Hong Kongs doesn´t have one gun, but has another one that the others dont.- sorry because of my bad inglish, not a native speaker(doing my best)-
I can get good screenshots of most of the weapons on this page (Some, like the Automag V, are only in the Korean version, which I don't have) but I can't offer descriptions of how they play.
M72 LAW Confirmed...sort of! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBNtrF_PBz0
very extrange that vid. The m72 used in cz ds, once you used it, it was throwed away, and this one acts like a plugin or something else. It has cso hands, so lets supose its in the game. Wait, that´s cso nst!
Seems that you didnt hear of the infinit law glitch. Before you throw it to the ground, quick switch to another weapon. The laws ammo counter will indicate 0 ammo but it will still fire rockets. I put cheats on and went thru the entire game with laws only.
I've got a question for you guys who HAVE played any version of CSO. Do the servers enforce model consistency, or could I move the custom models I had for 1.6 to a CSO install to replace some of the common weapons between the 2 games? --HashiriyaR32 15:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
since the CSO models are encrypted (something like that, the file extention isn`t .mdl like in cs 1.6) so, you will have to do something so the game can take the skins. Its easier to play cso nst, cscz based version of the CSO. CSO NST uses .mdl files. But you have to be carefull with the animation sequences (replacing the exact gun), unless you have some experience making models/skins or converting (like converting the deagle so you can use it as a p228) If you have any question about how is CSO NST playing, search it in youtube, you´ll find the original prewiews of the mod developer.TheBarry1394
Protection of this page
Can someone protect this page, to stop some anonymous user who keeps adding weapons absent in the game in the 'may be have' section.--SB2296 16:12, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
yes, please protect it. Somebody is abusing the fact that only a few users have this game (if any user has it) and the fact that the game keeps adding guns and more guns every time they can, since you have to pay for playing most of them. TheBarry1394
Weapons with multiple forms
If there are any other weapons that can be converted between two different forms such as: MP7 (pistol <-> SMG), XM8 (Baseline Carbine <-> Sharpshooter), SCAR (SCAR-L <-> SCAR-H CQC), please make a note of that on the page. --HashiriyaR32 23:40, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
At least in nst, the dual infinitys can be swiched to shoot gangsta style, improving accuracy. TheBarry1394 - I always thought that when you shoot a gun that way, it decreases the accuracy.
Pictures
A round of applause for EliteKrew1337 (sp?), who posted a ton of screenshots for weapons there were missing them. --HashiriyaR32 15:25, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of this page
It's time for either deleting this page or cleaning the crap that the noobs have put in this page. I would be the happiest person here if this eyesore is deleted soon.--SB2296 07:07, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- And just as things where getting better.... Look! The CSO Singapore site is in english! This means we`ll have a much better job at sorting stuff out. This is an Online FPS. It`s not like CoD where after it is released you know every gun 100%. Updates tend to add and remove guns from it. Thats the problem with Online FPS games. BTW A real eyesore is the Crossfire page. IT hasn`t been edited for a very long time, and right now there are 6 or 7 new guns.
I nearly cried trying to read the Engrish/tacticool "I think I know something about firearms" dialect combo on this page. This is in desperate need of a cleanup....
That doesn't even beat the OPERATION7 page, where there are practically NO SCREENSHOTS. At least you won't have to deal with bad spelling or grammar, becuase there aren't any descriptions either! Also I'm going to clean up this page as much as I can, starting with the weapons that were brought over from 1.6/CZ. I'll try not to touch any of the CSO weapons as I haven't played CSO and thus not know how they handle, ESPECIALLY any dual-wielded or customized versions of existing 1.6/CZ weapons (The dual DE's and the long-magged AK47 being good examples) --HashiriyaR32 17:10, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
....and as if this page wasn't cluttered enough already, some asshole decided to go through and include some kind of stats chart for each gun. This is a page about firearms, not a game guide, for christ's sake. Some serious work clean up needs to be done in order to make this page not look like a random info dump.
- They help a bit for the CSO exclusive guns. As it's data taken straight from the game, it ensures that I'll have stuff to refer to when it comes time to continue with the cleanup. We're getting some help in the form of Lord Mo --HashiriyaR32 01:06, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- I could argue that the stats are a good way of showing how the gun is represented in-game - same as the extra information on any movie page. I just think that they'd be best off incorporated into the text itself, as the stats are definitely helping cramp the page. Also, I might do some work getting better pics that are more tightly cropped, as I think a majority of the problem here is how large the screenshots are. Lord Mo
Hey, I'm trying to do a little bit of cleanup as far as Engrish descriptions go. I haven't gotten very far in it yet, but it'd be a good start to try and fix it. Thanks! Lord Mo
- I guess I should note I'm pretty much guessing on a lot of this stuff, too, as I haven't played the official version of this game. I'm just trying to figure out the material already written while making the descriptions make more sense and less filled with fluff.
Weapon stats & other changes
1) HashiriyaR32, Imfdb don´t need those stats, so I removed all of them, if you have any doubts check the CS:Source page.
2) This page need less screenshots, like the M4 section. Just one image for all the alternative skins for each gun.
3)Some thumbnails and pics need to be resized, they´re making the page too long.
Markost 02:23, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
1. I didn't add those. I agree that weapons shared between CSO and Source don't need their stats, but until the stats for the CSO weapons are integrated into the description, it's best to leave them there or put them back up for quick reference.
2. I did not post ANY screenshots. They're too long, but do take your grievances with those who put them on the page in the first place.
3. This is a tip for everyone. Best way to find out how some of the CSO weapons work is to look up youtube vids. That's how I found out that the .50AE Anaconda model has a visible 7-round cylinder.
--HashiriyaR32 18:02, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
3. Dude, I'm the one who added the 7-round cylinder info to the Anaconda section. And I found that out by looking at the models from the game's files (I didn't post the screenshots here, though) and playing a hacked version of the game. I think you might be onto something with the reskin, though. I could make better, clearer screenshots of the models but it'd be a bit of a pain in the ass that I don't have time for at the moment (and I couldn't cover every one - the AKM and Automag immediately come to mind, not being in any version but the impossible-to-find Korean version)
Unrelated, who put the Skorpion section? I haven't seen any indication that a Skorpion is in this game.
-Lord Mo 18:33, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- There are 2 new guns, but these are WTF guns like the Escopetarra and the Water Gun.
HashiriyaR32, I never said that you uploaded the screenshots. And again, no IMFDB page includes weapon stats, so, why this page should need them? Markost 16:52, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I have a big question: ¿does anyone of you, wise gamers who delete the page played REAL CSO 2008 (any country version of it)?
All the guns are real. Those who know about skins, can identify if a skin is CSO converted or a hack (not getting into details, you can put cso hands in any cs skin). Those who say most of guns aren`t real, and this page is crap, well, they could have asked somebody who knew.
As a start, I do not own CSO, but I work with NST (not original sontung01`s version, my adaptation) and I can realize if a gun is real cso or not, by looking at the skin. For example, when watching in Jed`s Half Life Model Viewer (program for watching decrypted cso skins and regular cs 1.6 and cz skins), when you look at the texture, most of the guns have two hand textures (male and female) and then a different texture for the whole gun. That´s even difficult for the best skin makers. And watching anims, and youtube videos you can realize those that are real.
For example, in a cso exists a barett m82 .Weird, but it exists.TheBarry1394
- The Barrett isn't in the Taiwanese or Chinese versions, and EliteCrew1337 would have said something if it was in the Korean one. The Barrett is a mod, as is the LAW and the M60. The game has a pretty active modding community in China and apparently Vietnam. --Lord Mo 00:00, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
i got that ingame...
