The following guns were used in the movie Red Scorpion
AO-63 assault rifle
The weapon used by Nikolai Rachenko(Dolph Lundgren) is an FN FAL with the muzzle modded to imitate twin barrels to mock up a Russian AO-63 assault rifle, The magazine also has the front slightly extended to form a front grip. Can be seen if you click here at 01:45 seconds. Not to forget it is seen tested by Colonel Zayas(Carmen Argenziano) on the rifle range impressed by its performance. The film-makers have also modified this gun with a Lewis gun's drum magazine and the pistol grip from an SS-77 general purpose machine gun. Although not related to the AO-63 but a Two barrel FN FAL does exist that was made by Winchester/Olin for US Army trials.
AK-47
AKM
Seen in the hands of Soviet troops, Cuban troops, the African rebels, and Nikolai Rachenko (Dolph Lundgren) (who's seen armed with a bayonet fixed AKM rifle) throughout the film.
AMD-65
Used by various Russian troops/Guerillas and by Dewey Ferguson(M. Emmet Walsh). Earlier used by Nikolai Rachenko when he shoots up a bar in a drunken manner.
M1919A4 machine gun
Mounted on a Ratel Infantry FIghting Vehicle vehicle.
FN FAL
Used by various guerrillas.
Vektor R4
Used by the Angolan troops.
Remington 870
Oddily used by the Russian Military Policemen and Dewey Ferguson (M. Emmet Walsh) during the road chase. Remington 870 shotguns were also used by Nikolai and the African guerrillas later in the film.
FN MAG
Mounted on the Armoured vehicle during the road chase.
Colt M1911 Combat Commander
Used by a Cuban soldier.
Oddily used by General Vortek(T.P. McKenna) as a "stand in" for the Russian Tokarev TT-33 handgun.
PPSh41
Seen weilded by the African guerrillas.
Mosin-Nagant
Mosin-Nagant M44 carbines (without the bayonet) were seen in the hands of African guerrillas.
M40 106mm Recoiless Rifle
Used on the siege on the joint Soviet/Cuban military camp.
M134 minigun
An M134 minigun can be see in the nose of the Sikorsky S-62.
FN FAL
An Israeli FN FAL is seen with an M203 and is used by Nikolai Rachenko(Dolph Lundgren) and previously by Kallunda Kintash(Al White).
M203 grenade launcher
An M203 is seen underslung the barrel of the Israeli FN FAL used by Nikolai Rachenko(Dolph Lundgren) and previously by Kallunda Kintash(Al White).
SA-7 Grail
RPK
Used by various Cuban troops and by Lt. Nikolai Rachenko (Dolph Lundgren) when he is ambushed in the field.
FN MAG
Used by Cuban troops on a sidecar motorbike.
RKG-3

Unknown Magnetic Grenade
Just after the road chase when the truck crashes, Nikolai Rachenko(Dolph Lundgren) places a Magnetic Grenade onto the trucks fuel tank.
Trivia Section
- The 'Mil-24 Hind' is mocked up from a Sikorsky S-62. This was the same chopper seen in Braddock: Missing In Action 3.
- Many of the 'Soviet' vehicles were on loan from the S.A.D.F.(South African Defence Forces).
- The movie was funded by the-then pro apartheid S.A.D.F. with the foundation ran by co-producer Jack Abramoff.
