Definately not a Schofield, it's a New Model No.3. I uploaded a picture of the thing for another movie, once I find the bloody thing I'll add it.

This rifle, while a cool and all too rare addition to a movie, is anachronistic to the film. There is a picture of William McKinley in the sheriff's office, so I must presume the setting of the movie is from 1899 to pre-September 1901, since Robert Duval's character is using a Savage Model 99.

Long Mountain Outfitters has a picture of the C96 used in the film, but I can't find it on there anymore. If someone knows were to find it, please help me out. - Gunmaster45

I'll take a look, it might be in their directory. -MT2008
