Grindhouse is a Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino double feature consisting of two feature films (also released separatley) Death Proof and Planet Terror among with fake trailers directed by Rob Zombie, Eli Roth, Edgar Wright ,Robert Rodriguez and Jason Eisener.

Feature film segments

Machete

Machete is the first fake trailer seen in Grindhouse as well as being featured on the Planet Terror DVD release. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez and starring Danny Trejo as the title character, a Mexican assassin who exacts revenge on the ones who betrayed him. The trailer also featured Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin. A feature film based on this trailer will be released in theaters in 2010.

Table Guns and Knives

After the senator hires Machete. The camera pans on several guns. This scene is similar to Escape from New York. Which John Carpenter directed, Robert Rodriguez uses music scores similar to John Carpenter themes during the film. Interdynamic KG-9 / Intratec TEC-9 clearly visible.
