Mulholland Falls is a 1996 film starring Nick Nolte as the head of an elite squad of LAPD detectives in 1953 investigating the murder of a young woman (Jennifer Connelly) that has been linked to a general in the Atomic Energy Commission (John Malkovich).

Det. Lt. Max Hoover (Nick Nolte) carries a Smith & Wesson Model M&P revolver with a 4" barrel as his primary sidearm. FBI Special Agent McCafferty (Daniel Baldwin) also carries one.
Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless
Jimmy Fields (Andrew McCarthy) carries a nickel Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless with black grips when he is hiding out near his beach house.
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket
Kenny Kamins (Titus Welliver) reaches for a nickel Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket when Hoover confronts him, but Hoover hits him with his blackjack.
Colt Trooper
Det. Arthur Relyea (Chris Penn) carries a Colt Trooper with a 4" barrel throughout the film, notably firing it during the gunfight at Jimmy Fields' beach house.
Colt New Service
Det. Eddie Hall (Michael Madsen) carries a Colt New Service throughout the film, notably firing it during the gunfight at Jimmy Fields' beach house.

M1911A1
U.S. Army soldiers and MPs, including Col. Nathan Fitzgerald (Treat Williams) and the Captain (Kyle Chandler), carry M1911A1 pistols holstered. After they are taken to the Army base, Det. Lt. Max Hoover (Nick Nolte) and Det. Elleroy Coolidge (Chazz Palminteri) knock out a couple MPs and take their 1911A1s, using them to infiltrate Gen. Timms' home.
Browning M2
When the Army apprehends Hoover and his squad on the base, they aim a Browning M2 at his car.
