The Norinco Type 86 is a Chinese-manufactured bullpup version of the [[AK-47]]. It was exported for civilian use and it was sold worldwide, however the Stockton Schoolyard shooting of 1989 prompted the ATF to re-interpret existing regulations of "sporting arms" and redefined most 'assault weapon style' firearms as unsuitable for sporting purposes.
