Kloga, it is no problem at all that you copy pasted anything I wrote. As far as the Russian I know, I took one or two classes years ago when I was in college. I can say hello, ask people if they want tea, things like that. Nowhere near fluency. As for the Ruzhyo nickname, the first place I encountered it was in Tom Clancy's Netforce series of novels. There is a particularly badass Russian character with the same name.--[[User:Ruzhyo|Ruzhyo]] 19:12, 2 April 2010 (UTC) | Kloga, it is no problem at all that you copy pasted anything I wrote. Whats with the pictures ? I uploaded it all the last night and they did'nt work. :( Can someone help me with this ? --Kloga 16:41, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
I saw the episode with the air pistol a long time ago. I believe the air pistol is a Webley Scott Nemesis. At one point in the scene you get a very brief but clear view of the gun in a drawer or nightstand.--Ruzhyo 19:38, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the information. Are you russian ? Your nickname is russian word for "rifle". I really interested in russian languaged users of this site, cause I, myself, from Ukraine. --Kloga 22:00, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Kloga, alas, I am not Russian or Ukranian, I am from Texas. I enjoy Russian history and know a few words of the Russian language (not enough to hold a proper conversation with a native speaker), hence the "Ruzhyo" nickname. --Ruzhyo 22:40, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
It's very unusual situation, that someone not slavic has such nickname. :) Intersting, what's the other words you know. --Kloga 12:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- And also sorry, that I mostly copy-paste your writing here in the article information about how to recognize the gun. --Kloga 12:49, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
There is a particularly badass Russian character with the same name.--Ruzhyo 19:12, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Russians in most of the american and foreign films and novels often portrayed very funny for the russians him self. Though, i'm Ukrainian i was ROFL, when i saw Gottfried Jhon as General Uryumov in Golden Eye --Kloga 19:23, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Your non firearms section
It may be best to move your non-firearm section into the discussion section. --Ben41 13:41, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Why in the discussinon ? Though, i don't mind, intersting, what other users think about it - I just want to do "other weapons" sections in many articles starting with this for those who intersted not in guns only, like myself. Actually i can remove plastic knife, if it's needed. --Kloga 13:49, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Take a look at the Transformers page as a good example of keeping the main page just for firearms and the discussion for non-firearms items. --Ben41 13:55, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's not good example in my opinion. Cince when film characters (even robots) were considered as a weapon. They have weapons mounted in them, but they're dont weapons themselves. And why on discussion page ? Maybe it will be more useful to build such pages in good-old wiki style, like this link ? What do you think about this idea ? --Kloga 14:51, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I think there's a fine line between what is clearly a weapon and what can potentially be a weapon, like a 120mm tank gun vs. a toy bow and arrow. --Funkychinaman 16:17, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- You know, german law considered even pillow as a weapon. :) I mean that people can use anything as a weapon. --Kloga 16:27, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Other weapons
There was also many things in the series that definently not the firearms, but can be considered as a weapon, so can be on this page.
Royal Ordnance L11A5
In the episode "Back to school, Mr.Bean" a Challenger 1 armed with a Royal Ordnance L11A5 (that didn't used in the entire episode) crushed Mr.Bean's trademark yellow (though, it was red in the first episodes) Leyland Mini car. Note : This moment was later re-used in video compilation with new added sequences - "The best bits of Mr.Bean"
Plastic Knife
In the episode "The Curse of Mr. Bean", while in cinema, where he's trying to watch Nightmare on Elm Street Bean uses something red and plastic, while immitating homicidal maniac to scare his girlfriend (Matilda Ziegler) and the audience in the cinema. It's paper knife or something like that.
Bows
In the episode "Mind the baby, Mr. Bean" Mr. Bean using two bows and the arrows. The first one (yellow) is used as an entertainment in the amusement park. Bean misses his shot and shot the bow's owner face with the sucker arrow, instead of a target. The second one (green) stolen by Bean to save the baby from flying away cause of baloons attached to its carriage. Bean removed sucker from the arrow and used sharpener to sharpen it to make it actual arrow. He then did'nt missing his shot, destroying some of the baloons. Note : Mythbusters busted myth, that such carriage fly is possible.
Darts
Those medieval weapon used as a toy now, but still dangerous and can be considered weapon. Mr. Bean used darts in the same ("Mind the baby, Mr. Bean") to win golden fish. He used trick to win - he attached cards, that was targets to his own darts and shot, while amusement owner didn't watched.
Cat anchor
In video compilation with original sequences "The best bits of Mr.Bean" Mr.Bean using cat anchor similar to those used by ninjas and cat burglars to get to his attic.
Boomerang
In video compilation with original sequences "The best bits of Mr.Bean" Mr.Bean finds boomerang, painted yellow, red and green. It is used in many gags, back in moments, when Mr.Bean did'nt expext this. Though this boomerang is a toy, it has classic form of actual, native australians weapon boomerang.
