Broken Arrow is a 1996 action/thriller from director John Woo and starring John Travolta as Major Vic Deakins, a USAF stealth pilot who with the help of a group of well-financed mercenaries hijacks his B-3 stealth bomber carrying two live nuclear weapons. Christian Slater plays Capt. Riley Hale, his co-pilot, who survives the hijacking and teams up with US Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) to chase after Deakins and recover the "Broken Arrow"'s before Deakins can use it against a major city.
The following weapons were used in the movie Broken Arrow:
Handguns
Beretta 92FS (Stainless Slide)
Deakins uses a Beretta 92FS with a stainless slide to try to kill Hale before he hijacks the stealth bomber. Hale sees Deakins in the reflection of the window drawing the gun and is able to grab the gun. Due to close proximity to the actor, the handgun is not actually doesn't fired, but an effect is added in.
Beretta 92FS
Chief Sam Rhodes (Vondie Curtis-Hall) uses a Beretta 92FS standing in for the standard-issue Beretta M9 handgun during the canyon shootout. Kelly (Howie Long) also is seen with a Beretta. Riley Hale (Christian Slater) is seen with two Beretta's - one which he loses in the B3 stealth bomber, and one when saving Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis). When they are cornered by one of Deakins' men, he drops the gun only to grab Terry's hidden P228.
Beretta 93R
A Beretta 93R is the main handgun of Vic Deakins (John Travolta)during the train shootout towards the end of the film.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
US Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) uses a 4" barreled Smith & Wesson Model 66 with Hogue grips as her sidearm. Hale is able to take it from her and then uses it throughout the film.
Beretta M9
SIG-Sauer P220
A SIG-Sauer P220 is seen in both the hands of good and bad guys (and girls) alike throughout the movie. Riley Hale (Christian Slater) takes a P220 from a luckless Humvee driver when he hijacks the truck he's driving and shoots the driver in the foot when he holds Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) at gunpoint. He then uses this gun and Terry's Smith and Wesson for much of the mine shootout. One of Deakins' men uses what appears to be a SIG fitted with suppressor at the beginning of the film.
SIG-Sauer P228
Terry picks up a SIG-Sauer P228 from Max (Shaun Toub) after she encounters him on the train. When the finale begins, Terry and Hale both use the gun at one point or another.
Submachine Guns
Beretta Model 12
A Beretta Model 12 SMG is used by one of Deakins' men, Johnson (Vyto Ruginis) as Hale and Carmichael are pursued throughout the underground mine. Hale also is seen using the M12 against Deakins briefly.
Heckler & Koch HK94 (chopped and converted)
The USAF Search and Recovery team that arrive at the crash site carry the Heckler & Koch HK94s chopped and converted to resemble MP5A3s. Kelly (Howie Long) is also seen using one on the train.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Two of Deakins' men carry the Heckler & Koch MP5Ks during the train scenes at the end of the movie.
Uzi
A full size Uzi is seen in the hands pf one of the mercenaries on the train.
Micro Uzi
A Micro Uzi was seen in the hands of one of Deakins' men.
Assault Rifles
Heckler & Koch G3A3
One of the NEST team members is armed with a Heckler & Koch G3A3 rifle when confronting Deakins' Humvee.
M727 with M203 grenade launcher
Hale (Christian Slater) uses an M727 with an M203 grenade launcher during the helicopter assault on Deakins' train. He later hands it off to (Delroy Lindo) to cover him as he makes a leap onto the train.
Ruger AC-556 GB-F
Deakins uses a Ruger Mini-14 GB with factory folding stock during the fight in the abandoned mines.
The weapon fires full auto(or was it 3 round bursts?) making it an AC-556. Not sure exactly how ruger adds the F for folding stock or the K for the shost barrel into the designation. The K designation is funny since on their pistols K means stainless, yet on the 556 it means Kurz, for the short barrel...--Zurak 47 08:14, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
M16A2
M16A2s were seen in the hands of USAF Airmen when they recover Hale.
Colt XM177
Colt XM177 Commando was seen in the hands of NEST teams and Air Force pilots. Technically, they should be the GAU-5/A rifle.
Custom AR-15
The mercenary that takes out the USAF chopper pilots is seen using a custom rifle with a scope and bipod. He is also seen firing on the Search and Rescue team.
IMI Galil
One of Deakin's henchmen on the train shoots at Terry (Samantha Mathis) with a scoped IMI Galil rifle in 5.56mm NATO.
Shotguns
Mossberg 590
Kelly (Howie Long) uses a full sized Mossberg 590 with Ghost Ring-Type Sights, heat shield and a cruiser pistol grip after losing his MP5A3 during the train shootout. He gets into a standoff with Deakins with the shotgun when he arms and refuses to shut down the nuclear missile. Hale is later seen with the shotgun and forces Deakins into a corner before he threatens to detonate the nuke. Also, the mercenary that confronts Hale and Terry at the helicopter on the train uses a Mossberg with bead sights.
Heavy Weapons
M134 minigun
The Air Force UH-1 that is commandeered by Deakins' men is armed with twin M134 miniguns. The pilots use them when they chase Hale and Carmichael.
B83 Thermonuclear Device
The B83's design took extensive measures to prevent accidental detonation, which is important for example should the need arise (as it did for Deakin) to jettison the nuclear device.
