Heckler & Koch XM8
The Heckler & Koch XM8 is used by the Rat Patrol and other US troops in game. It can be found and used by the player in a secret area in Act 2.
Sig Sauer GSR
The Sig Sauer GSR is the standard handgun of the PMCs in game. It can be found and used by the player in Act 1.
M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is referred to as the "Operator" in game and is Solid Snake's handgun of choice. It is given to him along with the Ruger Mk. 22 by Otacon early in Act 1.
Heckler & Koch MP7
The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 is used by several of the PMC operatives in game. It can be first found and used by the player in Act 2.
