From director John Woo, Broken Arrow is a 1996 action/thriller starring John Travolta as Major Vic Deakins, a USAF stealth pilot who with the help of a group of well-financed mercenaries hijacks his B-3 stealth bomber carrying two live nuclear weapons. Christian Slater plays Capt. Riley Hale, his co-pilot, who survives the hijacking and teams up with US Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) to chase after Deakins and recover the "Broken Arrow"'s before Deakins can use it against a major city.

The following weapons appear in the movie Broken Arrow:

Suppressed pistol

One of Deakins' men uses an unidentified pistol fitted with suppressor to murder a man and a woman who are camping out. "Area secure." he deadpans into his radio.

Beretta 92FS tutone

Deakins uses a tutone Beretta 92FS to try to kill Hale before he hijacks the stealth bomber. Hale sees Deakins in the reflection of the window drawing the gun and is able to grab the gun, but after a short struggle Deakins ejects Hale, drops the two bombs so they can be recovered by his team and then ejects himself as the plane crashes into a mountain. John Travolta actually doesn't fire the weapon because of close range, but the shot itself was added in.

Hale gets his helmet visor blown off with Deakins' Beretta. Note the extremely large flash, but the gun's slide doesn't move.

Heckler & Koch HK94 (chopped and converted)

The USAF Search and Recovery team that arrive at the crash site are carrying Heckler & Koch HK94s chopped and converted to look like MP5A3s.

Heckler & Koch G3A3

One of the NEST team members was seen armed with a Heckler & Koch G3A3 rifle.

Smith & Wesson Model 66

US Park Ranger Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) uses a 4" barreled Smith & Wesson Model 66 with Hogue grips as her sidearm. Hale is able to take it from her and then uses it throughout the film.

Beretta M9

Chief Sam Rhodes (Vondie Curtis-Hall) uses a standard-issue Beretta M9 handgun during the canyon shootout. He is then shot point-blank by one of his own men, Kelly (Howie Long), also with a Beretta M9. Riley Hale (Christian Slater) also carries two M9s - one which he loses in the B3 stealth bomber when Vic Deakins (John Travolta) pulls his eject lever as he draws it, and another that he uses briefly after jumping aboard the train and saving Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis). When they are cornered by one of Deakins' men, he drops the gun only to grab Terry's hidden Sig-Sauer P228 and kill the gunman.

Sig-Sauer P220 series

A few SIG-Sauer P220 series pistols are seen in both the hands of good and bad guys (and girls) alike throughout the movie. Riley Hale (Christian Slater) takes a P220 from a luckless Humvee driver when he hijacks the truck he's driving and shoots the driver in the foot when he holds Terry Carmichael (Samantha Mathis) at gunpoint. He then uses this gun and Terry's Smith and Wesson for much of the mine shootout. Later, Terry picks up a P228 from Max (Shaun Toub) after she kills him by launching a hammer at his head. When the finale begins, Terry and Hale both use the gun at one point or another; Terry effectively begins the climax of the finale by killing the train conductor (who had been shooting at her), forcing his body back onto the freight train's brakes.

The one that Hale takes from the Humvee driver is a P226 (you can see the double-stack bulges on the frame in the first pic), the one in the third picture (which Terry grabs from Max) is indeed a P228. These two guns need to be given separate entries. -MT2008

Ruger Mini-14 GB-F

Deakins uses a Ruger Mini-14 GB with factory folding stock during the fight in the abandoned mines.

The weapon fires full auto(or was it 3 round bursts?) making it an AC-556. Not sure exactly how ruger adds the F for folding stock or the K for the shost barrel into the designation. The K designation is funny since on their pistols K means stainless, yet on the 556 it means Kurz, for the short barrel...--Zurak 47 08:14, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Beretta Model 12

A Beretta Model 12 SMG is used by one of Deakins' men, Johnson (Vyto Ruginis) as Hale and Carmichael are pursued throughout the underground mine. When Terry gets the drop on him as he searches for the pair, he and Terry briefly struggle for control of the weapon (alerting Hale to their position). Johnson overpowers Terry and aims to kill her before being wounded by Hale and forced to drop the weapon. Hale then discards Terry's Smith & Wesson for the M12 and uses it against Deakins briefly.

Mossberg 590

Kelly (Howie Long) uses a full sized Mossberg 590 with heat shield and a cruiser pistol grip after losing his MP5A3 during the train shootout. He threatens to kill Deakins with the shotgun when he arms and refuses to shut down the nuclear missile, and then fires a few rounds when Hale distracts the both of them. After Hale kicks him off of the train, Hale retrieves the weapon and forces Deakins into a corner before he threatens to detonate the nuke.

Um... the difference between the Mossberg 590 used by Kelly and one of Deakins' Henchmen is that Kelly has Ghost Ring-Type Sights with his, meanwhile the henchmen holding up Hale and Carmichael had bead front sights.

M134 minigun

The Air Force UH-1 that is commandeered by Deakins' men is armed with twin M134 miniguns. The pilots use them when they chase Hale and Carmichael.

B83 Thermonuclear Device

The B83's design took extensive measures to prevent accidental detonation, which is important for example should the need arise (as it did for Deakin) to jettison the nuclear device.
